Hey guys, im pretty new to the game, I started about a week ago since i saw the game was on sale so decided to give it a try. I got a lot of advice and help from a friend that used to mythic raid to get going and hes been pushing me to do mythic dungeons this whole week. Ive been playing disc priest and just hit 2k rating. Is that a decent score? he says he wants me to start going up to +10 but 8s have been a little harder for me. Im guessing better gear makes a lot bigger of an impact? What is a respectable rating to try and go for? I do play ff14 so im not entirely new to mmos and its definitely helped me learn at a pretty fast pace but i feel like im starting to reach a wall, will this feeling go down once i gear up some more or is it just a git gud type thing? Also any tips and advice is appreciated, thanks.

What achievements are you referring to? They arent exactly 2k but they nearly are, which isnt bad for week 1 for anyone.

okay hopefully i get something good in the vault thingy. i just hit 2005 rating like 30 min ago it might not be updated in my achievements yet? I have the mount you get so i definitely got it though

Yeah once you get familiar with your rotation and utilities, get more gear along with everyone else, and we all get familiar with the new dungeons and returning reworked dungeons, number go up.

what would you say are the milestones for rating just so i can set some in between goals? My buddy expects a little bit too much from me too fast and I dont want to upset the randoms in our groups by pushing too much too soon you know

So this is a humble brag because they have a few collectible achievements from the DF expansion and just bought TWW while it was on sale…with no previous m+ experience…I’m beginning to question your logic.
i did start a paladin to level 10 a while back but never committed to the game, unless level 10 makes me a veteran or something? Didnt have anyone to help me so i put it the game on the shelf and played a little classic instead
2500 would be the next goal which is about all +10s, then 3000 which is all +12s
