I bought the “Ironspine Protocol” item so I can use Hati as a mount but any time I zone (hearth/portal) it removes the mounting buff before the hour is up and I have to apply the item again.

I’m having the same issue–except, for me, Hati still worked as my mount after I’d ported but not after I visited the bank in Zuldazar. Go figure that one…
If we pay gold for an item that’s supposed to give a 1-hour buff, then it ought give us exactly that, no matter what we do or where we go.

I agree, it’s not like it’s a ton of gold but if it continues to do this repeatedly (or every time I zone in my case) It’s really going to start adding up. That’s weird yours did it when you visited the bank in Zuldazar.

Yup. Same problem here. The sudden debuff is inconsistent too.

Same here. Very erratic function. No problem today with hearthing or gryphon, was yesterday. Today its the 7th legion boat. I’m sure it will get fixed o and btw play dead is broken again, it makes them play dead but when they get up they attack the mob again…

also play dead also cancels feign death if you play dead after feigning death and you regain agro on the mobs your feigning death from.

It seems a very inconsistent thing. For me, it frequently happens if I’m riding Hati and we go into a no-mounts area and I get dismounted. But I’ve had it happen in other ways, too. Why this item is a consumable and not a proper toy (given the issues with it) is beyond me… though, as someone else said, it’s not a terribly expensive item, so having a huge stack of them is no big deal. … but still, we are effectively being cheated out of an hour’s worth of an effect every time this bugs.

It also disappears if you enter a cut scene/scenario as part of a quest.
