Ironbite Shells

I am a level 65 hunter, with 320/325 for guns, using a “The Gunblade” (level 65 weapon) and i am unable to equip Ironbite Shells. i went so far as to pull up my account on my test bed with no mods or anything and i still can not equip them. no error message or anything, it just wont let me place them in the ammo slot of my character sheet.

Edit: after looking at another post, i found the answer, you have to drop the new ammo on the weapon, not the ammo slot due to a apparent bug.

Thank you for finding a solution. I just turned 65, used up my Wicked Arrows and tried to drag and drop Blackflight Arrows onto my ‘paper doll’ with no luck. I did notice the ammo slot lit up when I tried drag and drop so I restarted the game, disabled all add-ons, tried a right-click on my ammo, and it loaded into the ‘paper doll’. I suspect I didn’t have to disable add-ons.
