Iron horde wod scrap tips

Content drought lol so I’m going to start farming iron horde scraps for transmogs and just set up my garrison.

Any tips on where and how to farm? Open world? Dungeons? Normal or heroic? Kill dungeon bosses or only trash? I’ve never farmed to the extent of doing the ten per hour lockout but I have the day off so if that’s a method I’ll try tbh I wouldn’t even know how. Clear dungeon on normal reset it and do it again? Bosses won’t be locked weekly or that only heroic dungeons?

Dungeons or around the BRF raid area outside, iirc

You’ll get scrap from trash mobs mainly, have to get the bosses for the specific armor pieces though so you might as well full clear everything.

Iron Docks

Lots of mobs all near the entrance you can gather on 1 pull

Thank you! Is it per weekly chance at the bosses that drop the pieces or a daily reset?

Awesome I’ll farm that area!

The bosses can drop a piece each time you kill them.

They drop from normal dungeon bosses so you could theoretically just do constant resets, I would think.

Can confirm. I got most of the sets by doing this. I got all the armor pieces i needed doing this as well

Do Iron Docks. Back when I was trying to get the weapon mogs from the bosses, every run gave me at least one of the “special” items (ie, the helm/shoulder/belt you need for their respective items) in addition to a buttload of scraps.

Did this grind myself awhile ago; Iron Docks is definitely fastest.

Great advice already got the belt waist and shoulders to drop in three runs now I just need scraps and to upgrade my dwarf mill to rank 2

i hate deleting them over and over when i do tw wod. it dont take long in dungeons to get alot

I believe rank two war mill will be the best passive way to farm if you wanna go that route.

Basically set it and forget it… max out your requisitions from the female orc inside (if you’re horde, otherwise I’m sure there’s a similar person in the alliance one) and 2-3 days later you’ll have a decent stack… I did that for a few weeks and managed to make all the suits.

Is the mill a building I need to make?

I just bought the ogre cache for a quick 1k resources now to just farm those iron scraps lol

That’s the Horde version of the Dwarven Bunker.

Once it gets to a higher rank, you can set work orders there that’ll give you lots of scraps in exchange for garrison resources. It does take time though, so if you’re just trying to knock it all out in one day just keep doing what you’re doing.

edit: though if memory serves you can buy skips for the work orders so if you’re just swimming in resources you could probably just start and complete them until you run out for a buncha scraps
