Iron Dock Trash Needs more nerfs. (Bladestorm!)

The first trash from the Dungeon is still to much.
The Blasdestorm from the trash there being instant cast without a warning or a cast time is killing the melees in 1 second. Also the throw hammers are doing 40k damage on a 26 fortified. If you get hit by the charge from a footman and get the DoT with an unlucky throw hammer, you are dead.
One more thing, first boss serrated arrows (not imo arrows) are hitting people twice or maybe it afect an area around the target and one people are clipping other with his serrated arrows and both dying. What if, if it does AoE damage, we need some indicator to pre-spread.

What you guys think about the Bladestorm, Throw Hammer and Serrated Arrows from Boss and Champion Druna?

Trash in Docks is a nightmare and the “Fun Meter” runs very low here. One shot mechanics, giant dots, mobs jumping all over the place (making you try to reposition, thereby making you inevitably stand in front of a mob and getting hit by a cleave), endless amounts of sh$t on the ground you have to not stand in… the list goes on.

Then of course (as I mention in a recent post) if you do end up pulling packs quickly and cleanly you’re still short on the timer because you didn’t pull big into the wheels. It’s just not fun to go in this place.

On an 18 its a nightmare, i can’t even beyond to understand how bad that trash is on a 26, Im sure beyond insane…

I’ve done a route where you mind sooth past most of that trash.

I can bulldoze it on a 16 but I can see how in higher keys like 20+ how some of the mechanics are silly.
First boss for example does a lot of spike damage and I still don’t know how everyone how chunked so badly. Maybe the arrow AoE isn’t displaying properly or the wolf’s hitboxes are kind of strange.

Same problem with the fire wyverns towards the end where there’s a lot of AoE people can’t seem to avoid. Very healing intensive

Warriors can spell reflect the fire wyverns and it scales with the key so they get blasted down pretty quickly

  • Remove the random targeting ranged attacks from the mobs and make it an interruptible cast when they want to do ranged attacks on non-tank party members.

  • Make the Kodo beast charge able to be sidestepped or dodged or make it interruptible

I would like to see 2 more minutes for Iron Docks. Timer there is tight forcing you to play agressive with the not fun trash making the one shot chances much higher.

It chooses the furthest ranged player to charge and therefore can be baited and gamed with a competent group that’s paying attention. It can also be side stepped by the targeted player.

Without mechanics like this you are hitting target dummies while tanks do everything. I would advocate for MORE abilities that target random players to keep things challenging as keys scale. They can be stopped btw. Once you learn what’s dangerous, you (as a warrior) can storm bolt (or shockwave as prot) and intimidating shout those casts. Rotating disorients/fears/stuns is the counter play for mechanics like these.

Oh like a bunch of people in a discord? Its too complicated for pugs dude, save that coordination for higher keys, it shouldnt be thumping people that hard in a 14-18.

there’s in-game voice. press T.

…and its less used than teamspeak or ventrilo these days compared to discord.

Another “hot” take from you

i tried a 24 and the 2 other dps died instantly to the dot. we were like wellllll… that’s that. obviously we burned thru defensives and the second that we couldn’t mitigate it, it just straight up killed us.

That combined with the really tight timer and amount of mini bosses makes ID not that desirable this/last week.

let’s dig deeper… why is it less used?

WoW Voice chat isn’t used nearly as much because better Voice chat programs/app exist, e.g. Discord, people generally don’t want to hear random strangers chewing or breathing into a mic, or random toxicity, WoW’s voice controls are pretty bad and people who have tried it have historically had performance issues/lag (which may be resolved now, idk), and Blizzard flubbed by making Voice chat incredibly annoying to opt out and prevent running on people’s machines leading to a swarm of people completely nuking it.

Given the level of chat/discourse that happens in random PuG groups, I wouldn’t pin my hopes on PuG’s coordinating better on voice chat. I wouldn’t even expect any useful communication to happen in voice chat.

If we are talking 14-18 I’d say you can ignore it completely and just face roll the dungeon with the current ilevel as long as nobody is under geared for the content.

Also, You can communicate and time high keys without voice chat by the way. A few sentences in the chat bar before the key goes in goes a long way. If you want to succeed in a dungeon that offers the maximum reward at the end, I would say that communication is not a lot to ask for a requirement. I don’t know how satisfied you think you would be if every ounce of difficulty was removed from the game, unless that’s what your looking for.

With all due respect, you came here with a mechanical issue, so I offered you a counterplay for the issue and you dismissed it. If this was a broken mechanic or had no counter I would’ve just not said anything. This isn’t an echo chamber, so I’m not sure what you were expecting, dude.

I feel like in a 24 this is ok. Eventually, it will scale to a point where you will have this issue even if they nerf it over and over unless they remove it completely. Then something else will eventually be a problem. I think the issue is that people don’t take the mechanics seriously enough until it’s too late. I often see people holding clears/pots/immunes ect for god knows what. Fortified week, treat that trash as if it’s fortified! Everything is dangerous, approach it as so. Just my two cents!

Important to note, it does not target it’s charge victim. In order to dodge it you need to move to an open spot as it casts Trampling Stampede.

P.S. It’s a clefthoof not a kodo.
