IRL Player Stereotypes for Each Class

What kinds of people tend to play each class? In my experience it is approximately the following:

Death Knight: Emo kids that think they’re cool for playing DK but are actually really lame
Demon Hunter: 15 year old edgelords that are really annoying and name their characters stuff like “illidanxoqt”
Druids: Can be either girls (resto), furries (feral), or furry girls (resto/feral)
Hunter: 10 year old kids that just started playing WoW or girls that like collecting pets but are terrible at playing the actual game
Mage: Nerdy 18-20 year olds, probably in college
Monk: These are either weebs or 15 year old kids that suck at the game
Paladin: 12 year old kids or older dudes, if the latter they usually tend to be quite stuck up and rude to other players
Priest: Typically either played by girls or creepy guys
Rogue: 13 year old emo kids or people that were bullied in school
Shaman: Chill older dudes
Warlock: emo kids
Warrior: Can be either average dude or brash, ignorant a-hole

The fact that you referred to every stereotype as “kids” tells us more about you than the stereotypes themselves, kid.

Yeah, I think you’ve undershot the age expectations here by about fifteen years.

Someone’s hunter/monk/paladin really out-DPSed this tool.

How dare you make general accusations about monks through the internet that are not directed at me, but I’m going to take offence anyhow because I’m not happy with the state of the game and am using this random thread to vent my anger. Shakes fist in anger at thier computer.

I have no issues.

You had the chance to make a fun thread about stereotypes, but instead of that you just only talk about people below 18. That make you an stereotype.

I miss the dislike button when I see this types of thread.

He kinda hit the nail on the head for that second warrior stereotype. He must have been feeling self-reflective.

This was intended to be a fun thread, and so I may have exaggerated certain things for dramatic effect

So I’m 42, i have at level cap an outlaw rogue, blood dk, arcane mage, fury warrior, and a best master Hunter.

What am i? Which stereo type do i for into?

What about us altoholics? I can’t be all of those things at once!

Ya, this thread is going places for sure.

You can do that without insinuating insults at 90% of the playerbase, though. XD

Like, for example:

Death Knight: Probably likes Ozzy Osborne or Smashing Pumpkins.

Demon Hunter: Definitely mains Genji in Overwatch.

Druids: Could have multiple personality disorder. But usually pretty intelligent blokes.

Hunter: Is so used to the negative stereotypes, they’ve become emotionally numb at this point.

Mage: 95% chance they played a Wizard in D&D. And probably DM’d as well.

Monk: Because punching things is more fun than watching a cast bar. Probably awesome at Black Desert Online PVP.

Paladin: He heal, he defend, but most importantly, he bring the Ashbringer back again.

Priest: Likes to be helpful. Usually really observant, so make excellent call outs in raids.

Rogue: Probably mains Tracer or Sombra in Overwatch. Has a mischievous side, but legitimately gives their all to be good at the game and contribute to their team / group.

Shaman: Type of person that just goes where the winds of change take them at this point. If they’re a veteran of the class, they’ve seen all the ups and downs, and are just content simply existing at this point. Chill people, usually knowledgeable about the game.

Warlock: Tryhards, but in a good way. If they’re not top of the DPS meters, you can bet your bottom dollar they’re trying their best to be.

Warrior: Because hitting things with a sword is cooler than watching a cast bar. Also probably enjoys the RPG element and progression of their character more than most.

^ Fun stereotypes that don’t call anyone a “kid” or “bad.”

No disrespect intended, but your topic is totally flawed. How do you have an “IRL stereotype for each class” given that the majority of players do not play just one class? I salute anybody that has managed to keep playing their first rolled toon w/o making any other of a difference class other as long as they have been playing.

P.S. I’m referring to those of us that have played a realistic amount of time, not fresh starters.

You seem to have an odd obsession towards the juvenile and adolescent.

You’re T-800: Cyberdyne Systems Model 101 Series 800 Version 2.4 Infiltration-Combat Unit.

Cause I don’t know who else can have 5 maxed out and fully geared roles.

100% accurate, I got bored of BDO and came back to WoW.

I think 15 years is an understatement in and of itself. OP, there are people in their 70s and 80s who play this game. Myself, I’m not quite that ancient, but still…
