Iridikron, story, hunger and more (with spoilers of 10.1)

No shot.

Iridikron is going to eat his sister and that will cause him to mutate into a Galakrond like monstrosity in 10.2.

10.1.5 mega dungeon and emerald dream patch island, 10.1.7 bronze dragon flight / galakrond lore resurfaced / Iridikron engages in cannibalism in the lead up to 10.2.

I don’t even think it will be temporary.

The Wrathion vs. Sabellian thing is a red herring - neither will be the new Aspect. Ebonhorn is too passive a character. Emberthal is a definitely contender. But if not Emberthal? The new Aspect is going to be Iridikron, with an eleventh hour faceturn after we save them from their hunger.

Disagree, if such a thing happens it’s Fyrakk he eats since he is the more disposable of the two and the one infused with the Shadowflame power Iridikron needs to power the transformation.

Fyrakk will fall in 10.1.5 (combined effort of the player character and Yzzy in the mega dungeon). This is what will shock Iridikron the most and cause him to take such a dramatic step.

Again disagree.

10.1,5

We fight Fyrakk in the megadungeon maybe protecting the new tree from him, before we kill him Irridikron swoops in and eats him.

10.1.7

Iridikron starts transforming and Vyranoth starts getting second thoughts learning about what made Galakrond what he was in the past in the Bronze story

Iridikron completes transformation and Vyranoth is horrified at what he becomes and joins us, leading into 10.2

10.2 Blue dragonflight story with Vyranoth working with us in whatever is in the tower we saved from Razaketh and we use whatever mcguffin is in the tower to kill/imprison Iridikron.

Okay… maybe this happens. The ol’ “you win but advanced the villains plan” move. That’s very Blizzard like writing.

Okay, I can buy this. It also creates a road for the Primalists to rejoin us, justifying Night Elf Shaman and the like in 10.2.7.

What nags at me is that we now know Nelfarian turned to the Old Gods to fight off the primalists … so who are the primalists dealing with?

Were the Old Gods, individually or collectively, simply playing all sides? Or is there something else out there? Something hungry that once led to Galakrond’s rampage and is now growing in Iridikron?

(Or am I just missing/misunderstanding some known bit of lore?)

Probably playing all sides, yeah.

Here’s a tinfoil hat theory for your tinfoil hat theory… Iridikron ends up for some reason using some powers he ends up gathering and revives Galakrond only for Galakrond to pull a double cross and devour him killing him for us and becoming the big bad we all expected.

Compared to the other major villains of Shadowlands (Sylvanas, Kel’thuzad, Zovaal), Daddy D was a breath of fresh air.

Yup, Denatrius wasnt something new or original, there is a lot of villains like him, but compared with the rest of the bads in Shadowlands (Sylvannas and the Jailer) who are boring, cliche and bad written, he was the best thing.

I love how everyone is into the “Cannibal Iridikron” train  i hope Blizzard make it true and mutate into a new type of Galakrond.
So, with the new cinematic “Opening the Way”, it seems that the Incarnates had planned, or at least assumed, that the dracthyr would go to Aberrus to claim Neltharion’s legacy.

Vyranoth seems to be blatantly Void Corrupted while Iridikron seems to be more interested in the war for Dragon Supremacy if anything.

Vyranoth did sound mocking in her lament of Raszageth’s demise when the Incarnates arrived at the Forbidden Reach. Too bad her Dragon Form’s Voice is such an icy windstorm or we would have probably caught mockery when she asked Raszageth “Sister what have they done to you?” earlier.

You can’t redeem someone who objects to your very existence. He’s throwing Fyrakk away for his plans he made with Yogg saron and N’zoth. Then he’s throwing vyranoth away for his emerald dream phase of the plan. Then as tue expansion ends hell leave it alive as tue newest version of guldan

I don’t know, I like to believe I’ve had some mild success over the years in this area.

Vyranoth seems to be the mastermind of the Void schemes so she is the one throwing everyone under the bus while Iridikron is focused on the war fully.

Vyranoth is the least redeemable it seems judging from the “Opening the Way” Cinematic while Iridikron and Fyrakk are her dupes.

Iridikron is desperate to win while Vyranoth is winding both him and Fyrakk up for the Void’s victory.

Iridikron is in it for Dragonkind while Fyrakk is in it for avenging Raszageth’s demise and Vyranoth is in it for the Void’s schemes. Fyrakk objects to the slayers of Raszageth’s existence while Iridikron seeks to aid Dragonkind as a whole. Iridikron is the most redeemable in the end.

That makes me wonder why the Primalists aren’t the Twilight Hammer if this is the path of the story.

Im sorry Yvenathilm, but where you found that Vyranoth is related with the void? Want to read it. I think you are confunded Vyranoth with Iridikron. Vyranoth looks like she mourned the dead of Razsageth.

Yeah me too. Nozdormu literally said iridikron made deals ue didn’t tell his siblings about on purpose

N’Zoth whispers: She is not the last, but the first. Drown her and you will see.

https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Back_to_the_Future

Knowing Presence whispers: With many eyes, they will see again. They will drink, and be uplifted.

Add the fact that Vyranoth knows not only about the existence of Aberrus but also what’s going to happen when the Dracthyr find their legacy(that the Aspects worst nightmares will be unleashed) while Fyrakk does not this all implies that she was the first to be Void Corrupted and plans to bathe in the Waters of the Halls of Infusion(I.E. the Wellspring that all Dragons on the Dragon Isles drink from) to corrupt Dragonkind.

Nozdormu is not the omniscient narrator. Looking at Vyranoth’s dialogue and noticing that she knows more than Fyrakk about what is going on and how she seems to know everything that’s going on concerning Neltharion’s secrets makes her suspicious despite Nozdormu’s speech on Iridikron!

I really hope Blizzard write some lore and do more things with the Incarnates in the incoming patches. We still need a lot to know about them, not only their plans. We need more background and maybe how they have so many followers.
10.0 was an introduction to Dragon Isles and the main story
10.1 is about Dracthyr and Neltharion
10.2 and 10.3 MUST be about the Incarnates
