Wow started losing subs when the chevy Cobalt was discontinued. This is the real culprit. Bring back the cobalt and bring bacl the glory days of wow.
Honestly - I do not understand his statement about crafted gear and raiding. If I could get crafted gear that was raid quality - it would enable me to do more damage in raids.
I don’t raid to get gear - I try to get gear to make raiding more fun and help out my team. It certainly would not make me feel that I didn’t need to raid. If I am not raiding - why would I need great gear?
I raid to have FUN. Better gear - crafted or otherwise - makes raiding more fun for me.
But - I think I would raid even if there was NO GEAR AT ALL. It is one of the last fun things for me in this game.
Makes me wonder why he raids (if he even does anymore and isn’t a carry).

He works for a company that tells him what to say just like everyone else on earth. I don’t see any person with a high rank position in their company telling people anything bad. It’s like Ronald Mcdonald telling kids in the commercials that their burger is 90% filler from china and someone might have fallen in during the grinding process
So I understand the rest of the complaints what I don’t understand is the people complaining that they can’t gear outside of raiding? You can gear from outside of raiding I.E. mythic plus and arena. If you say I want it from questing well then lmao at you.

I would like to point out you have absolutely no proof of your 2 million subs claim. And your peak number is wrong, WoW peaked at almost 13 million subs.
With the extinction of set bonuses, you don’t have to raid to get gear, nor should you. The best gear (even ahead of Mythic Raiding) is from Mythic plus farming. In fact, it was in Legion as well. Yes, there’s less drops, yes it takes longer, however, it is far and away the best way to increase your i-level provided you have the time to run plus 10 after plus 10 and higher.
Which is what makes this all the more curious. Is it not viewed that this is the case? Because as it stands, it would be the most expedient way by a mile to gear, miles ahead of farming and crafting and recrafting a piece to get the proper secondary stats on it…
