ION SAYS pvp rewards are

And now, you just play the game and are rewarded.

For much less than you’re rewarded for PvE content. Whether you spread it out over the whole week or grind it out in one session, capping conq is generally going to take at least a couple of hours. For this, you get a guaranteed 385 piece.

Meanwhile, you could spend 20 minutes doing a single Mythic+3 and get the same ilvl reward at the end of the week, plus residuum and the chance at gear from the run itself. Once the weekly cap starts giving 400 gear you need to do a +7 to match it - a bit more difficult but nothing crazy.

But thats equivalent to PvE heroic raiding right?

Only you’re not really rewarded for playing PvP, and if you are a PvE players you can just roll into PvP and be given the key to the kingdom.

Yes. I’d argue that unlimited shots at 400 gear is for 2.1k is about equal to trying to gear through clearing heroic. And they take roughly the same amount of prep/ “skill”

Uhh, I have through pvp the same 415 azerite chest (bis for fury) as the one that drops from mythic stormwall blockade. Seems pretty legit.

I can only get my BIS chest from PvE, not available on PvP pieces. Doesnt seem legit.

Except Heroic raids have been on farm for over a month.

That’s fine, but its not a secret that some traits and trait stacking need further balancing. That is a valid and separate argument. Also, the bis pieces kind of fluctuate depending on what pieces you have in the other slots.

I’ve been 2.1k for a lot longer than a month. Others for much longer than I. Not sure what heroic raiding being cleared do with PvP gear that has no lockout.

Not even close :joy: I’m in two different guilds where they’re half way through mythic but 3/4 of them can’t get 1800…

Mythic raiding is legit but 10+ and heroic raiding his hella easy.

And people can reroll fotm on a class or comp theyve never played and be 2k in less than a week. That is not a great argument for either side.

H Ghuun and Jaina are harder than the first two mythic bosses in either raid. I, despite being mongo, can carry a healer that has never been higher than 1.7cr to 2.1k. Done it three times this season.

Again, not a great argument that one takes more skill than another.

If it is a separate argument then stop bringing up you have BiS traits on a PvP piece in this context.

Feel free to post on your main.

M+ is WAY easier than getting 1600+ in arena.

the reason being is that their mastery damage (usually some type of magic or poison buff) does more when buffed than the actual white damage vers. gives (which is only a baseline buff).

and yes vers. basically is resil/pvp power v2.0.

i disagree with this. people who choose to play both aspects used to know they had to carry around 2 sets of gear because pve/tier gear was optimum for raiding and such, and pvp gear was optimum for bgs, arena, and Wpvp. the players who worked hard to get such sets were looked upon as great players, as well they should be for all their effort they put into it. having 1 set of gear, while great for that type of player now, is a slap in the face to hardcore pvpers and hardcore raiders alike - it’s like saying, “oh we don’t care nor have the time to dedicate to both sides of our fan base, so we’ll just be lazy and just deal with one.”

this was the downfall of what i personally thought was the best game out a few years ago - Rift. once they started removing the pvp stats then gear altogether, they had no choice just to go f2p then p2w… and now look at it…

lucky…

Bro, even a blind squirrel gets a nut at some point…

WAS. It’s not anymore

I still carry around two sets, because the tradeoff between optimal traits, secondaries and ilvl is different in PVP and PVE. With the 385 loot pinata over the past month or two, it has been possible to be pretty selective about secondaries. When I use my PVE set in PVP, the negative effect on my kill ratio is noticeable.

hate to argue, but how so? resil was reduce damage and pvp power was increase to damage… what does vers do again?
not saying it’s just as good or better… which was why i said it’s a version 2.0.
