Just like they moved the 15th anniversary mount and the core houd…they can move it to BMAH. If it comeback as a twitchdrop the % of players missing it will be really low for a promotion.

Yeah, as the only realistic way would be to somehow travel back in time to exactly that patch, which…would be insane. Like, if we were able to easily just do that willy-nilly, but it’ll never happen.
Opposite of for me and most of the people I know. If we can get it later then it becomes boring and uninteresting. It’s fun to have a reason to push something now.

Actually, they can do that via classic / seasonal realms, If they brought Pandaria Classic, they can allow us to do the CMs on that realm and just transfer the credit to retail.But it’ll be a limited time again, othewise We’ll have like a lot of realms for each expansion…weird haha
Ehh I don’t think it’ll be a twitch drop but probably return (and this is headcanon) at some point after wrath classic ends.
In the interim I wouldn’t mind if it had a straggler gold tax though.
It’s like they don’t think about new players, there’s going to be a few later…If you check the official Warcraft account tweet, there’s multiple players requesting it to be in game or not removed at all. We can still obtain the mount from HS.

Reading between the lines, the Developers view the game as it’s own ecosystem. It’s nearly two decades old, as far as anyone knows it is not going anywhere. They want to preserve their material.
I understand PvP related stuff. That is a ladder based system. Win and you get your reward and to an extent the AOTC - and KSM fall into that category. Similar to PvP the meta does change with the seasons, sometimes slightly, sometimes your spec becomes garbage tier.
Some of the other PvE stuff being timed limited is questionable. For example, the removal of the WoD ring questline is confusing. That questline was the bulk of the story in what was already a very thin expansion.
Good, there’s nothing wrong with having limited time availability on cosmetic items.
That’s good but they should still bring back the cloak and ring. You could get those things in LFR. There was no reason to make them time sensitive.

Not all other Blizzard game promotion mounts though, Lava kitty is unfortunately no longer obtainable for example

I best not see Tyraels Charger back then if they are going that route.
That would make a good Twitch or Amazon promotion.

that just means they’re gone…until they aren’t.
they bring stuff back when it makes sense for them to.

They won’t and that’s a good thing, otherwise the game would be in an even worse state.

It’s Ion; he’s the king of double speak. Just wait until WoW needs a boost in subs or needs to manufacture interest in their next game/expansion, then these fomo items will return.

I think when it comes to TCG items, etc. like the Spectral Tiger mount for instance? Those should absolutely come back. Blizz would garner a lot of good will if they made that a promotional twitch drop, etc.
People didn’t really “earn” those mounts. They got lucky on a card pack pull or paid an exorbitant amount of money to get said mount.
As for things like an Anniversary mount or even the ghost tiger appearance from Mage tower? Those things are things that players had to group to get or a challenge they had to overcome (i.e. the mage tower.).
And if we are being real? Blizzard can say this now and then later on release any limited time mount for purchase via the shop for $25 and it would probably sell like hot cakes.
What I’d rather see is them improve the drop rate for say the boss and holiday mounts. Farming the horseman for 10 years across several characters and still not getting the mount is a bit deflating…
I know a friend of mine has ran strath for a long time just trying to get Riverdare’s mount.
