Proves why he should not be the lead developer of WoW and should of stuck with encounter design or whatever he did like a youtuber was able to come up with whole quest line ideas for how to explain Goblin and Gnome Druids but apparently NO ONE at Blizzard can whatsoever?

Yes it is but there are lore extremest who will go ballistic at the slightest change in lore from anything that was not “chiseled in stone” before the release of Warcraft III.

I don’t know what to tell you. The reason you don’t have Druids for all classes right now is because creating all the different models and animations that Druids require for all classes is a metric S ton of work that they haven’t felt like they want to prioritize yet, not because a game dev company that has been pumping out story content for 20+ years is unable to come up with a way to explain it.
It’s coming, but the reality is that the lore isn’t what’s holding it up. I mean, you reference the new Druid forms they just released, and that itself was a ton of work to make those, and that was the equivalent to 1, maybe 2 races worth of forms? And they were available to all races, they’re universal.
There are currently 16 races that don’t have Druids available, by my count (may be off by 1ish). That’s a massive amount of work compared to what they did with Emerald Dream.

The Cenarion Circle are not the arbiters of who can and can’t become druids; take for example the Zandalari Lun’alai or the Kul Tirans who learned druidism from the Drust.
I would have had more respect if he just plainly said that he didn’t want to put time and resources into having the dev team develop assets (totems, paladin chargers, druid forms) rather than trying to use some bogus lore excuse.

It wouldn’t, strictly speaking. But giving all classes to all races is a big thing these days so they’ll eventually shoehorn it in anyway.
Machines can be purpose-built for efficiency. Druidism can be seen as a way of improving efficiency. Like four legs are better than two for traveling.

I’m still of the opinion that Metzen came in and found out they were thinking about all classes for all races, saw the abomination that is Ma’nari Paladins and Lightforged Warlocks and said, “Helldamnno.”
