Or do you think that the Horde has the vast majority of the players?
Overall, they’ve always been fairly balanced. For certain content, there’s discrepancies.
It takes like five seconds to confirm this is a load of bs. 7/10 of the most populated realms on NA are Horde stacked. Only 103 out of the top 500 guilds in the world are Alliance. The entire mythic+ community is on Horde. You can tell the PVP is imbalanced as well judging by how long Horde queues take compared to Alliance queues.
I play both. Seems pretty even to me.
Certain content is actually all content outside of casual stuff, from my understanding.
I trust the information provided by someone who has the actual data over the opinion of people from the forums who can only speak from their own individual experience and bias(in this case).
The imbalance is usually raiding and PvP. There’s a lot more to the game than that. And overall population numbers don’t reflect that. Pretty sure they even said similar in the Q&A.
US Mythic raiding seems to heavily be Horde.
Very rarely a US guild on the Alliance record books before they close them.
The few that do show up on the records are Oceanic/EU based.
If ironforge pro’s classic census is anything to go by, with alliance being the “favored” faction back then, they’re representative of 53% of classic’s active level 60 population so I doubt the horde is really vastly outnumbering on retail despite being a favored faction
Yup, pretty much.
I am not 100% claiming to know one way or the other. I can only go by what Blizzard says and the data that we can see. For example, as someone else pointed out, we can see that most NA realms are Horde based. We can also see that most high end raiding guilds, M+ groups and arena groups are Horde based as well.
On the other hand, Ion basically said the opposite of that as far as total population goes. So, who knows?
I agree with this. If they thought there was a problem, they would say or do something.
Ion admitted it is a problem. He said that it is a social problem though, so they aren’t doing anything about it.
You’re saying literally the opposite of your post title now.
That proves he is a liar. Really he made himself look really stupid with that comment. Bg’s queue’s is says the exact opposite to his statement. Wow how dumb was that comment.
Did you watch the Q&A? He literally said both things that I mentioned.
The data from sites like realmpop confirmed it, before Blizzard changed the API.
For years the split was 52/48 Alliance/Horde, during BfA it was 48/52 Alliance/Horde. We don’t have any Shadowlands data but I doubt there’s been a big shift since BfA.
I mean how do you think Blizzard should fix a problem that is caused by community choices and free will?
It’s a snowball effect now. That being said, they shot themselves in the foot with Allied Races. Recolored Dreanei or brand new and popular trolls? Worse Gnomes or Vulpera? The community clearly didn’t like the Alliance allied races.
Mechagnomes and Dark Iron Dwarves have the strongest racials in the game. Alliance players keep saying they want overpowered racials, but then when they get them, they don’t play them.
That’s a community problem.
