I get it that people use a system to weed out people... but when I do mythics and best the timer IT DOESNT COUNT and doesn’t give me a score. No score= no inv to anything decent. Gearscore was a better system because when you got a better piece of gear it counted right away..... it didn’t go oh that pick up never happened. It makes me not even want to log in because anything I do is worthless
I'm unsure if you have to make an account there to see it or not, but I noticed when I check my io profile, that it tells me which dungeons have a full leaderboard for my realm, and what level or time of key I have to beat to show there and improve my score.
If you are on a higher pop realm, you may want to put an effort into doing keys earlier in the week, instead of leaving it towards the end.

Gear score is just that a score of your gear. Raider.io is a measure of your ability to complete keys in time or not & scores you accordingly. It pulls its date for runs from the top 500 leader boards, which are split per realm. If your realm has 500 completed runs then runs below the key # on the 500th entry wont be able to be recorded. This is a problem with high pop servers and the 500 entry limit on the leader board system.
Edit: Also it doesn't update in realm time. usually takes 20-40 mins for a run score to show up after exiting.
2nd edit: upon looking you up, your server is at capacity a lot of dungeons under 9-10. plus prot warrs are in a bad place right now which is why you might be having a hard time getting into runs. i personally don't take warrs due to the balance issues they have.

I’m on a high pop one of the highest. I quit in legion and came back for bfa and this crap is here. This really kills my morale to log in. I work 40 hours and I don’t want to get up at 5 am just for mythics. This is a game not a job

If you cannot put any sort of time into it before the weekend, that link also suggests trying to find someone from a lower pop realm to have in your group. Even if your realm's leaderboard is full, their realm's may still have room for your run, and being listed on their realm for it will count towards your score.
Its too late in the week on too popular a server to be running low keys. You're options to try and negate this are to purposely pug with a person from a lower populated realm or a realm with room on their leaderboard or run your lower keys earlier in the week and aim to run higher keys later on.
You'll notice on your raider.io profile a warning saying your server's leaderboard is full and what the bare minimum you can do to place on them is. Honestly, with M+ becoming this big, Blizz really does need to increase the size of the leaderboard to compensate.

Blizzard only shows like what, the top 200 keys? (Edit: I hear its 500) so if you arent on this official blizz boards, you dont get IO rank because there is no other way for them to get it.
Your issue with IO honestly should be aimed at blizzard.
Your key should give you score, and the only way to change that is for blizzard to show more keys rather than the top ones.
All that being said I do 2 keys a week within a guild, i dont have to worry about such things. Feels pretty good.

If your trying to goto war against IO users then you will find yourself on the outside. I pug nearly all my runs and will never go back to not using it. Host a +10 pug and have 50 people all apply, using io is the only fair way to really measure anyone anymore thanks to the horrible nature of titan-forging.

Perhaps you should try pugging the first few bosses in Heroic Uldir for a chance at 370 loot. The first 5, even on Heroic are notoriously easy for moderately skilled groups and all of them drop 370 pieces, with two of them dropping Azerite pieces for ya. Once you get the gear, it should be easier to push your key's range up a bit.

I work every Tuesday....... so it’s pointless trying to get anything in when you get off at 9 pm
i dont use .io at all on my main.. and i get into group constantly.. +10's +11's very easily.. maybe being a highly geared healer helps.. but i hate .io also.. and refuse to use it on the principle that i find it scummy as hell..
but people can use what they please.. i just wont join them.. the game has so many players.. find the ones you want to play with and dont worry about what some other people are doing
