I think its weird we have voidelfs and lightforged Dreanai but no other races are void/light… I want voidorcs damit!!!
If you were on the creative team, what race, subrace or combination would you like to see) and how would you introduce them?

I think I speak for a good chunk of the community when I say: ogres.
Correct answer will always be Arrakoas.
One day I will live my Chamberlain fantasy… Mmmmm mmm MMmm.
Night Elf Worgen, High Elf Forsaken, Murlocs (Ankoan & Jinyu), Mogu, and Vrykul.
Once I have my new house, I’m inviting a Harpy threesome over for dinner.
not my cup of tea, but i get why you want’em.
same. very much want them.
but also… mantid, mogu, sethrak, tuskarr (i’m not joking), broken (or krokul… whatever), high elves (just so folks will stop complaining), taunka, jinyu, hozen, steamwheedle goblins, gilblins, vrykul- the list goes on.
i mean… blizzard has a massive, MASSIVE, list of races they could add i’d have fun playing as and yet… we get none of them… it’s sad.
The only answer is Ogres!
Playable ogres, naga, and gnolls for Horde.
Playable furbolg, dryads, and broken draenei/krokul for Alliance.
Night elf paladins and dwarf druids. Not sure what race+class combos for Horde though.
Ogres have been part of Warcraft lore forever. Please make them a playable horde race
High Elves of the Silver Covenant. Vereesa would take us on a quest to unlock them.
What do you want their racials to be though… I think we would have to rewatch the dark crystal to farm for answers.
Drain the life force from gelflings (gnomes) of course.
This is the correct answer… I dont know why I just want to see a Murloc expendables questline in wow. Sylvester Sturloc, Murnold Swartz, Jason murthem, Big Terry… just a whole crew of Murlocs doing a secret agent action style mission.
Clearly a Gnorgen.
The portion of the community you are talking about are folks who have played WoW for 20 years. Played Warcraft for even longer, since they weren’t even part of the Horde in Warcraft III so you need to go all the way back to 1995 for when Ogres were part of the Horde.
The “good chunk” you speak of… can be counted on one hand at most who, in good faith, actually want ogres as a playable race. So… that ship sailed at least like… two decades ago.
To the point of the actual thread’s question though… I dunno if I would want any race to be invited. I’m a massive fan of ethereals and I do believe that they are going to become a playable race, but that’s because they have received an updated model, the Void is the most relevant plot point going on right now and since Legion, Locus-Walker is easily one of the most interesting characters introduced in recent years that have a lot of personality and a lot of explorable backstory, and we are going into an expansion called Midnight which is clearly going to be void-themed.
So I’m biased towards ethereals… but they needed the updated model before I would’ve even begun to envision them as a candidate, and I still we need more to make them fully work (even if I fundamentally believe we are also going to get it, so I am declaring my bias here as well).
But the coolest and best races we have gotten so far have always been ones we never thought about. Vulperans are amazing, Kul’Tirans being non-standard humans, hell even the prototypes of Void Elves, Lightforged Draenei, Nightbourne, and Highmountain all have really interesting elements to them (as basic as they are) that folks didn’t think of initially.
So I honestly just want, besides Ethereals, for something I cannot imagine. I want to see… A new type of shape changing demon that were modified by Sargeras but then managed to escape by joining up with ethereals and have ties to the Old Gods and can provide us with insight into how Sargeras mind worked.
Is that just the Man’ari? Maybe… but it’d be a starting point for something more unique at least, perhaps?
What’s oh so special about these sodding High Elves compared to the ones we already have? I’ve seen so many threads about them, what exactly can they offer?
Whimpering of the Chamberlain. Channeled, 2 min cooldown. Interupt an opponent with your annoying whimpering.
Trail by Element. Gain a secondary stat buff based off which trail you’ve completed. Functions like the Monk’s ability where they teleport to their monastery.
Flee! Summon a Garthim to pull aggro while you flee to safety.
OP. Neko’s, playable Cat people. Bipedal elven druid off shoot in appearance with cat like features. In combat, transform into a vicious werebeast. Kind of like Worgan but with customizable tails.
We are not only beautiful we are smok’en hot which brings joy to everyone. Besides we have:
You never can have too many High Elves.
Void Naga please
Sethrak, Saberon, Arakkoa.
