This is both in game and on the selection screen. I can remove the belt and re-equip it but it just keeps happening. Saw a post 2 weeks old about this.

are you wearing a guild tabard? this happened to me too but when I took off my guild tabard it stopped.
Yeah, noticed this later. The only tabard looks like that triggers it is the guild tabard. Sucks because tabard covers ugly gear.

it’s just insane that its still a problem. It was reported to Blizz at the beginning of the TBC beta.
