Bliz should make Legs/pants slot option to make it invisible like all the other Armor Slots. As it stands now people can mog their characters slots to be all invisible. Except for the Legs/Pants slot is the only one you can’t make invisible. So why not? Some might say its about the game rating.
But You can easily just leave the Legs slot empty and have a character that looks like they are wearing a bikini (Girls) or swim trunks (Guys). But of course you won’t have any Stats in the leg slot.
My point is that If players really want to make a character that looks like they are wearing swimwear they can. Why not give players the option to mog the Leg/Pants Slot Invisible.
Which will also include Stats for that armor slot.
It’s not like the characters would be naked exposing private parts. They won’t even look like barbie dolls. They would look like they are wearing swimwear. So what’s the Problem?
Man, remember when people begged for the ability to hide X slot of gear, and people said inevitably it would lead to people expecting to just hide all their gear and run around in their underwear? Slippery slope, right? That surely wouldn’t happen, they just wanted to hide that one particular slot like you could for cloak and helmet, they would never want to remove chestpiece or pants from visibility and to think people would was just that damn Slippery Slope Fallacy that totally never ends up coming to pass.
Yo, wtf is that dude doing on skis coming downhill at me at mach speed for? He appears to be sliding down a slope of sorts, must be slippery up there.
Yeah. Why not make legs invisible too. I can’t see the harm in it. People have been leaving the leg slot empty so they can look exotic anyways. With the ability to make equiped leg armor invisible. People will be doing exactly what they have been doing anyway but now they would have stats in that armor slot also.
I think I would prefer this to seeing people running around in some really garish mismatched leg armor. It’s 2022 not 1920. There is no need to be so prudish anymore.
And like the op said even with the option enabled. It will still look like the character is wearing something.
Yeah I don’t think it particularly varies from what can be accomplished anyway using skimpy mail armour. So I personally don’t see an issue.
There are a few options like a cloth wearer miniskirt idea that looked cool, which would look awesome with this suggestion, as well as the Ahn’Qiraj cloth that would benefit from this.
Their humanoid forms are also literally getting customization options for underwear. Seems almost pointless to do that without adding “hide pants” to transmog.
Yet my priest and mage can’t correctly mog those gorgeous AQ robes with the open side thigh cutouts that come in 4 different colors unless I go with nothing in the leg gear slot.
As a Tauren druid with fur I find the need for pants utterly silly.
I think you will probably get the hide pants option long before Boomkins get another model update or feather options. Or a glyph that doesn’t make me look like a sparkly blue smurf in armor.
Maybe stock shorts?
We need a hide pants for some of the dresses that have the slit up each side. Also there are some other bits of armor that look silly because the leg armor is in the background.
Do the cloth ancestral woolies not help this situation? Not sure how big they are on some of the smaller races.
I understand how it can affect a good transmog, but in the meantime maybe some shorter “pants” like the woolies?
If those two pant models came in the same colors as the AQ gowns because you can still see parts of them below the belt line, but that wouldn’t help the Lovely dresses from Love Is In The Air in any way whatsoever.
