Invincible's Reigns Drop Rate Increase or Invincible Re-skin Mount Suggestion

Since we are nearing the pre-patch and still have a month after, before Shadowlands goes live, I was finishing up running ICC Heroic for seven (7) toons (without a mount drop) and thought to myself, “It would be pretty cool of Blizzard either increased the drop rate percentage of Invincible or have a end of expansion raid mount but a Invincible Reigns re-skin (red theme in color for example) mount drop for players participating in clearing ICC Heroic 25 man with level scaling.”

I thought this would be conducive for players who are either endlessly grinding for the 1% drop rate chance for over 10 years to actually accumulate a re-skin of Invincible Reigns after defeating the Lich King in ICC 25m, but I can only be accomplished by a full raid queue (of the likes like TW) but cannot be solo’d.

Since players who received the Violet Spellwing via after receiving the “Kirin Tor Summoning Crystal” after defeating Argus on Heroic difficulty or higher, it would be ideal to perhaps have a similar quest item drop from within ICC to turn into the Argent Crusade Quartermaster after defeating the Lich King, there, at the Argent Crusade Quartermaster, they can turn in the quest item and receive a red re-skin color variant of Invincible’s Reigns.

I would suggest possibly a item drop from Blood Queen Lana’thel (something along the lines of “Coagulated Blood of Invincible”, from there, players must defeat the Lich King to complete the quest.

Quest: "Lost Spawn of Invincible"

  • Defeat Blood Queen Lana’thel and obtain “Coagulated Blood of Invincible”
  • Defeat the Lich King in Ice Crown Citadel Heroic 25 Man
  • Return to Aliocha Segard (Argent Crusade Quartermaster) in Argent Vanguard
  • Turn in “Coagulated Blood of Invincible” to receive the “Reigns of the Lost Spawn of Invincible” from Aliocha Segard.

I thought about this as a alternative for those players who have been trying to obtain Invincible for 11 years (if it’s been taking players that long for ONE mount and I would not be surprised it has) and with each week passing for my own experience since grinding for Invincible since 2009 up until WoD where i took a break and dabbled grinding again since Legion, I’ve been disappointed for weeks, months and years yet hearing and seeing players obtain Invincible with very little effort either in first try or less than a week where veteran players have been grinding since 2009.

I know this may seem a bit far fetched for Blizzard to develop since they are neck deep into getting Shadowlands rolling soon, but it’s worth a shot to bring this to the table. Either way, I think both suggestions would be a win/win for both Blizzard and the players alike. Thanks!

You can get a reskinned Invincible fairly easily.

I’m sure Tyrael’s Charger is the same as Invincible, just different colors and wings. It’s no longer available tho.

That is a prized mount for a reason. If you haven’t got it yet (like me), well, tough.

They shouldn’t do this. It’s ok for cosmetic items to be rare.

You want a participation trophy. That’s all this thread is asking for. I doubt anything like this will happen.

They may not necessarily change invincible’s drop rate but your idea can be a good idea for thematic things they introduce in Shadowlands.

Considering the introduction to Shadowlands involves meeting up at icecrowm having a mount perhaps thematically matching what you’re after from the raid as a prepatch event sound like a cool idea (even if it’s too late for that now, maybe later on!)

Just do what I did and run 11 toons for a few months you’ll get it. Ive done it for most of the major mounts and it works just fine. I think the drop rate while rare is fine.

PS. Insert mandatory you just cant see the mount in your loot list joke cause its invisable here.

I have been running it on around 15 toons a week for the last 3 weeks. Had taken a break from trying for awhile now. I do not want it to be given away so freely.

No, on increasing the drop rate. Plus you can buy him from the black market ah. No on a re-skin, unless blizz decides to re-skin every old mount.

I say no to a reskin for the simple fact Invincible is such an iconic mount with a backstory.

That’s my point. But if blizz decides, to update everything, go for it. Which won’t happen. They can’t even release a finished expansion, none the less go back and update every mount skin.

Obsidian Worldbreaker was a “participation trophy” and the Violet Spellwing was also one as well.

Think how long some ppl have been grinding ICC for since 2009 and still haven’t gotten Invincible yet while some solo it the first day and it drops for them. I’m just providing simple means to obtain a re-skin w/o the 1% chance drop for a mount no matter how low or long the chance it is. I’ve been there, done that and still am for 11 years and haven’t gotten Invincible’s Reigns. It’s a bit much if you ask me. it’s just a suggestive alternative. That’s all. I’m still currently grinding for Invincible’s Reigns weekly as the years have gone by, it’s extremely frustrating at this point.

Absolutely not. I grinded for years to get Invincible so you should have to too.

However, Mimiron’s head needs a drop rate increase cause i’ve been grinding for years and don’t have it yet.

Seriously, though, why the heck not? It’s not like Wrath has been current for 6988776798 years. It’s 5 expacs past, increase the drop at this point.
