Ok, why is it so hard to obtain this mount if it’s old and outdated content. I mean, it has a 1% drop rate. And it’s not exactly a “quick run” to farm. Why people why?
I thought it’d be a cool mount for this character but then I got about halfway through, and the lag and choppiness and just all around poor experience made me give up quickly.
I then saw a deal that said it was sold on the black market for 20,000 gold but that’s a whole other topic I suppose, because I didn’t see it.
Old raid mounts become harder to obtain as a way to make it so it creates content for people that want to collect them but still make it easier if you ran the content when relevant, because you did put the effort to get there. Yes they could just remove them like pvp mounts.
after 5 + yrs of farming this on multiple toons, it finally dropped. On a toon I hardly played and decided to run it 1 more time before bed time. Random is random. IF you want it, I suggest you still try. Wow is a time factor game. I have the time “shrug”
Black Market Auction house starts bidding of it at 20k gold, it rarely shows up, and often times the bit hits well over 1 million gold OR 9,999,999 gold (gold cap).
Insult to injury I’ve had Invincible drop 3 times for me. 2 in my characters banks.
I remember when I started farming for Invincible after just starting my Death Knight. He had just got flying and I really wanted Invincible for him.
I had never run ICC on heroic before. Hell, I had never run it at all. I got to the part with the green dragon and realized I couldn’t continue because I didn’t have a heal on my rogue. I had to go all the way back and start over on my Paladin. The place was confusing. I had no idea where to go. Using a guide I finally got to the end and killed Arthas and it dropped.
I was glad it was over and that I didn’t have to grind for it again.
He finally dropped for me a few days ago. I about had a heart attack when I saw it in the loot bag.
I got it when I least expected to get it.
But, the best method to help (if you have multiple alts) is:
Step 1) Use the character you have with the most mobility, clear all the way up to LK (without killing him.)
Step 2) Make a group with random stuff in the title, then set it to private.
Step 3) Switch to your next character (preferably the one[s] you’ve parked outside the instance.)
Step 4) Check the queue, where you’ll find your other toon’s group. Apply to join.
Step 5) Switch to your saved toon, then accept the invite.
Step 6) Switch back to the other one who is about to do LK, accept the save.
Step 7) Now kick the saved toon out of the group (who is now parked outside the instance.)
Step 8) Proceed to LK, kill, loot.
Rinse, repeat.
Hopefully you have a mage friend who can teleport all your alts to Northrend Dalaran, else it gets a bit tedious; however, it’s the most efficient way if you intend on having multiple shots at it in the same week. Saves a lot of time too though in regards to having to clear multiple times.
Just wanted to give a heads up to those that farm this mount weekly along with myself. When you get to the drake boss that has to be healed, You can skip this boss. Just run around and take the elevator down to the next boss.
Doing this doesn’t impact your chances of the mount dropping from the last boss in ICC.
My best way is to take a dh and take the shortcut from blood queen to sindragosa. They disabled gliders so you can’t do it on all toons, but you can still glide as a dh
