Invincible is a problem

It baffles me that people still farm for that mount, and many others from classic and the first few expansions. They look like dog :poop:. Absolutely hideous. I just don’t get investing that much time into something so fugly.

When you’ve got a binary outcome (like a mount dropping, it does or it doesn’t) you can calculate the chance that it should have dropped by inversing the chance that you’d miss X times in a row.

Think of it like flipping a coin. The objective is to get heads ONCE.

Tails once in a row is 50%.
Twice in a row, 25%.
Three times, 12.5%
Four times, 6.25%.

To calculate the odds of getting a Heads after X flips, you can just calculate the chance of a coin doing Tails X times in a row and then inverse that %. If you’ve got a 6.25% chance of seeing Tails four times in a row, then you’ve got a 93.75% chance of seeing heads at least once after four flips.

Even if the odds of each individual flip remain 50/50.

That achievement has “levels” as many of them do, so it can actually be awarded multiple times, once for the first time, which is like 50g or something, then again for 1,000g, and again for 10,000g, etc.

Because it make no sense to delete a farming toon if that’s what you are using it for.

If you had farming toons why not save them for professions so your main can do whatever.

the name of the achievement doesn’t change? I guess you just killed my laughs at that.

I’m close to 500 kills on utergarde pinnacle for the blue proto. According to Rarity, my chance to have gotten the drop by now is over 99%. Sometimes you just get unlucky.

Rare mounts are rare.

It doesn’t work that way.

Each new kill of the Lich King is a brand new roll of the dice. The chances for the mount to drop doesn’t increase.

The newer mounts may look fancier, but their animations are hot garbage, and the way the character sits on/moves with newer mounts is so bad it’s laughable that a company like Blizzard released it as is. Many of these newer mounts look like summer intern work.

Hope we get some good stuff in this trading post feature.

I hope so too.

I wanna see how the Trading Post plays out

I got it first try. Yes I have SS no I won’t post them. Get wrecked nerd

but they are just farming toons with no gear or trade skills. I don’t even give them bags. I have no problems with deleting toons regardless if they are mains or not.

from the looks of it we can put one item on hold
so we got that
come on long boy

Nope, it’s weird, but that’s how it is with that one, and probably others I can’t think of right now.

Now, the “50 quests” achievement is totally wonky, for sure. You can get that on a brand new character that’s done maybe three quests, so… small indie company jokes well deserved there.

lmfao you lucky bastard!!

yep.

somehow i managed to get invincible on my paladins second run-through… i figured i was thrown an rng-bone after slaughtering kael so many times :expressionless:

Yes and no. People don’t realise it but there’s actually 2 dice rolls going on here. One is the one you’re referring to which never changes. The other is the chance the mount will drop within a given number of rolls. It’s a little confusing but there is a difference between the 2 probabilities. There are articles you can read that will teach you the mathematical difference but I can’t be arsed to link them.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL! :dizzy:

Seems fine to me.
