Inventory Organization

Hello,

How do you guys keep your banks and inventory organized and clean? I have accumulated so much crap. Random items for quests I don’t have etc… I try going through them one by one looking them up on wowhead, but it’s so aggravating.

Any addon recommendations? Thoughts?

Thanks!

arkinventory iirc allows you to designate space for certain things, like quest items or gear etc

i use bagnon. can’t stand having all those individual bags…

EVI UI does the same thing.

You can choose a “single” bag or 5 like normal. Plus you can search and sort.

Wow adds to manage bags? People do that?

Vendor grays, sell BoEs and reagents. How is that hard :no_mouth:

When I speak to a vendor, I have an addon that autosells my grey items.

It’s not “hard” it just makes it so I don’t have to spend the time doing something I’m ALWAYS going to do anyway.

One click, poof, gone.

This game has been out for ages why doesn’t it have a sell junk button yet??? I played several mmos through out the past 20 years and most of them have a 1 click easy button. C’mon Blizz! Give us a “easy” button!

I have TONS of unique or nostalgic items, like bindings from MC that o got way back. I don’t use any add-ons, but i stock everything i can in void storage.

Then i just have bank bags designated. Tabbards, vanity clothing, non-xmoggable armor, random items, etc

Bagnon is you’re like me and couldn’t care at all about empty slots beyond knowing how many. Categorizes everything and even lets you show items in a single stack beyond the stack limit which helps even more with de-clutter

You might really enjoy Leatrix Plus, I certainly do. Several QoL upgrades in one.

Same way I do my email.

Clear it out once a day. Keeps it easy to manage.

I like Combuctor I think it’s called. I see someone mentioned arkinventory as well, which iirc was a great add-on but had some issues with support a few expansions ago so I just fell out of using it.

I use an addon called Adibags.

I’m an altoholic, with 30+ characters on 3 servers. So I use the addon BagSync. It tells me how much gold each character has. And I can check any item and find out how many of that item each character has. At times it saves me a ton of time.

But it doesn’t organize. I’ve built up a pile of stuff I don’t use.

There are plenty of addons for that. Get one.

Why isn’t it in the game? Because Blizzard is brilliant. If only SOME players want a feature, that feature goes in addons. That prevents the game’s user interface from getting so complicated that we never even know what features we have, or how to find them.

This also speeds up every major and minor release, because none of the addon functionality has to be tested. It breaks, but players don’t complain to Blizzard. That’s probably 75% of the functionality in the game, that isn’t tested. It literally saves weeks for small expansions and months for big ones.

I used ArkInventory for a really long time and I loved it. But then it kept breaking and I got tired of trying to guess which older version to install over an update. I switched to Bagnon and didn’t look back.

While I really like Bagnon, one thing it couldn’t do was track currencies or tell me how much gold I had on that server or faction. Once I found BagSync to complete that, it was perfect.

That’s the kind of addon that has dozens of nice features, but many players (like me) get it for 1 or 2 things it does well, and never learn all the other features.
