Let’s say Blizzard will add an augmentation spec for an existing class. Which class would you like it to be, and how would it fit thematically?
No rework monk instead we don’t need another augmentation spec to break the game.
Demon Hunter
some sort of Fel Armor spec. Thorns like damage assist to friendlies and AoE protection spells.
Every class should be able to go tank, heals, DPS and support.

Get rid of the meme class of Surv hunter and replace it with bard that uses their lute like a bow A-la FF14 bard. Change the trap spells of old surv into song spells, bing boom done.
Idk how surv is now but they were so fun the last season of shadowlands. I would not want them gone.
Demon hunters obviously need a 3rd spec before anyone gets a 4th

- A Soulbinder spec for demon hunters involving debuffing enemies and buffing allies.
- A Chronurgy mage that uses time magic.
- A Warlord warrior who uses more powerful shouts and banners to buff the group.
- A Herald spec for priest that puts their mind-affecting magic to use for the party.

DH support that infuses their allies with fel energy and commands the souls of demons to temporary possess their group mates to enhance their magical and physical abilities
Since aug support focuses around buffing dps for their damage i think one that focuses on buffing tanks and healers would be good.
Making absorbs explode for how much they eat, direct heals pulse for damage, overhealing apply a stacking dot to enemiese, dodge/block/parries doing reflects damage for their core rotations.
Then speccing into healer or tank focus; mana regen and healing amperage or multiplying armor amounts and giving magic resists

No disrespect to blizzard, but they struggle to keep “support/hybrid classes” balanced. They broke the game when they released Aug evoker in raid and especially M+. I don’t think they should have ever released a pure support spec like Aug. not to mention how Aug evoker scales better with some specs compared to others making good specs absolutely busted like UH.
The only “support” class I’d like to see in the future is that of a regular tank/dps/heal class that provides a new raid buff like a 3% haste buff or something.
Arguably thats like seeing someone eating pie, asking for pie, and saying ‘I notice its never cake eaters saying this’. Kind of a, pointless observation y’know?
Personally, I like being more of a support role, but if Augmentation is the direction WoW wants dps supports to go then I think I’d rather they not be added and rework Aug to a caster tank. They’re just stat sticks with crazy utility, and I’m personally not a fan of their impact on the game.
Have Bards, Tinkers, sure. But just give them tank/dps/heal roles.

I just think that if someone doesn’t play Aug then they should shut up about Aug changes. I don’t run around asking for Demo locks to be made into healers, or for Assassin Rogues to be made into tanks. I mind my own business. It is annoying watching all these people that don’t even play the spec constantly trying to change it.
If they make Aug a tank spec thanks to non-Aug players asking for it then they should at least make Arms Warrior a support spec.
Thats a bit of a selfish way of looking at things, no? People may not play your spec but they still see the effect it has on the wider game. If Shaman for some reason became so good on top of having lust, as a dev/pres player I’d have something to say. (Though if anything Shaman needs some love)
On top of that, people are always gonna have personal preferences. I’d have preferred, and people would have preferred, a dragon tank spec on evoker. Sure, supposedly Dracthyr are getting access to stuff like warrior, but that doesn’t really fix anything. Would play warrior if I wanted too, doesn’t change I wanted an Evoker tank. Pair that with the fact what we got was a horrifically OP spec that upended what balance was able to be gained between specs, and people rightfully aren’t happy with Augmentation as is.
