'Invalid Target' when attempting to use Primordial Wave on the PvP Training Dummy in Valdrakken

As title says, was testing Pwave+LB but apparently using Pwave on the PvP Training Dummy in Valdrakken gives the ‘Invalid Target’ error. Can turn and Pwave other dummies, but not the PvP one.

EDIT: Per Windcaster below, sounds like we head back to Oribos and change covenants.

Same issue on my end. I had to self cast to make primordial wave work when targeting the training dummy.

The training dummies there are bugged in general. I had one that would not drop combat until I logged out and logged back in.

If you haven’t yet, make sure you go switch your covenant away from necro lord. If you are still necro it bugs the ability

Was actually looking on how to fix Primordial Wave mouse-over macro not working at all when I stumbled accross this thread.

Swtiching covenants away from Necrolord completely solved the problem. Thanks for the tip :+1:

I leveled my shaman after shadowlands during dragonflight and still have this issue today in 10.0.7. To my knowledge I don’t have a covenant and that’s past content anyway so this is still an active bug

Sorry to necro a year old thread, but I’ve been getting this bug still.

I was never Necrolord during shadowlands, have tried switching covenants multiple times just in case, but still Primoridal Wave doesn’t work on the PVP training dummy.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is still an issue. Except I have no idea how to unlock covenants. Online seems to say I need to complete the shadowlands main story to change covenants? Do I really need to beat an entire expansion just so I can practice on a dummy in-between arenas? Also this issue is ongoing for 2 years without a fix? The Shaman pvp gear set bonus is literally boosting primordial wave…but we cant use it on the dummy right next to the vendor.

Yeah, it’s still a problem. Just shows how low priority shaman is to devs.

never felt quite so ignored as realizing this simple of a problem is two years old…

Yeah I did everything that people suggested and it never worked. Now I just go to orgrimmar and hit the pvp training dummy in the north west in the little hut when I am wanting to just hit the dummy.
