Similar to Medallion of the Legion in WOD, this medallion will add 1000 rep to the 4 cartels in Undermine, Bilgewater, Blackwater, Steamwheedle and Venture Company cartel up to exalted. This item can only be found in undermine.
It can be found from a trash can, dumpster, shipping and handling, rare, elite, super rare, world boss, after finishing any type of quest, fishing, skinning, mining, herb gathering, white mobs basically anywhere in the zone. Drop rate is very low somewhere around 0.05 %. Item is warbound and cannot be traded to anyone no matter what. If you want the item you MUST play in Undermine and find it yourself period.
This will provide players who started the season late such as myself, or are taking a break now a catch-up method with the rest of the players. It doesn’t have to be “you snooze you lose”.
Edit: I didn’t know that CHETT adds 500 rep to the current cartel. In my case that’s a guaranteed 2500 rep from main and 4 alts, an extra 500 if I got 40 extra CHETT on my main. How about a minor tweak? Instead of having a player be limited to 1 free CHETT and another CHETT if player have 40 CHETT currency and to the contracted cartel, make it unlimited per character, a player can choose where the rep gets allocated and make it easier to get the 40 CHETT currency. Would that work? It’ll get UM packing with players chasing rep for mounts.
They already reduced the amount of time to get this rep. It is exceedingly fast now, don’t think playing for a few weeks is a hardship in there

As I stated in the original post I started the season late, 6 or 7 weeks late if I recall. I will hit exalted with all 4 cartel the week of 7/29/25 and that’s only exalted with zero tries at any of the trove for each cartel rep. I’m going to assume season 3 will start on 9/16/25 and that is a realistic assumption. This leaves me with 7 weeks at best to get 4 mounts from 4 troves. I don’t see that as a realistic outcome, and I think I may have only 5 weeks to work with not 7.
I really don’t wanna come back to UM once S3 starts even though it’s one of the top 5 zones of all time in my book. If I have to come back I will, I won’t leave a mount behind, but a little help would be great.
They aren’t leaving, and there is no player power here. This is purely a cosmetics grind, which you can grind to your heart’s desire no less.

I don’t agree with ‘catchups’ even for gear but I can see why not having gear prevents you from playing the current raids/dungeons. I see absolutely no need for catchups in professions or this really. Why should you who didn’t pay then get to take less time than the people who did? That seems to incentivize not paying them…
I hate Undermine, so I haven’t exalted a single cartel. I don’t really care, either. I just go down there and do any quests that award gold and I get out. Can’t stand to be down there otherwise.

I just did the Cartel Reps on rotation. As such, I’ve got Bilgewater to Exalted this week, and the following three weeks will fill out the rest, except Darkfuse (which could take awhile).

Based on this you get 3 weeks extra to farm trove mounts. This means you will have 8 to 10 weeks to farm 4 trove mounts before season 3 starts. For that I will say enjoy ghost town undermine once season 3 starts because the time you have is not enough to obtain all 4 mounts.
Except, who cares about season 3? The mounts aren’t going away, there is no player power tie-in, and the rep is infinitely farmable anyway.

Season 3 will likely start around August 5th as turbulent timeways ends on August 4th.
The end of turbulent timeways has always signalled the start of a new season on the next week.

Nah it will start 9/9 or 9/16 to make season 2 6 months just like all other seasons moving forward.
There is absolutely no way that the season drags on til mid September.

No one has anything to do except the belt quest once a week.
Speak for yourself only. There’s still 3 more weeks to go to raise raid rep to level 20 and get arguably the best mount in the expansion. There’s a mount from master of timeways III going on, there’s still mounts and pets to collect in UM from miscellaneous mechanics. I can write a book about stuff players can still do now. I’m not sure if we both play the same game now.

this is how turbulent timeways functioned in DF s3, and TWW s1. End of turbulent timeways has always been the start of the next season.

Season one in tww lasted 6 months, therefore season two will last 6 months. This means that season three will start at September 9th or the 16th. This is my analysis just like what you described is your opinion/ analysis. Peace
typically blizzard implements the PTR four weeks before the new season goes live.
