Introducing the World of Warcraft Community Council

I haven’t seen anyone say it, so how would I know where to look?

That’s not how the burden of proof works.

I don’t care, I don’t have time to look it up!

We all know what this really means.

Okay then just remember why the burden of proof exists.

“That which is asserted without evidence can be refuted without evidence”

good idea but they only gonna invite streamers people who can target the largest audience and this is where blizz always falls short.
most those streamers are in a ECHO chamber

Dear Blizzard Team. Thank you for listening to our voices and caring, as a whole, your player/fan base. Thank you for taking your passion for the game that you/we love and making it real for all of us. Thank you for all that you do. We see it. We appreciate it. Sometimes, we may not all agree, but we see your art/craft that has won so many hearts; creating worlds in magnitudes that you have perfected 17 years ago and beyond before this Massive Amazing Game was brought to life. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. As Lady Moonberry says, “I can’t wait to see what you do next.” Bravo to this amazingly talented team!!! Sincerely. “And God bless you and keep you, may His face shine upon you continuously and give you peace,” in the Light’s(Christ) Holy name.

I get people are upset about how long it is, but people complain they aren’t listening and then when they step in and say they are going to try something to start listening, people get mad over how long it took.

Just feels like those who think this way are just upset to be upset and nothing is going to satisfy that anger unless Blizzard gives up on everything.

The vast vast majority of streamers and “influencers” are primarily motivated by :moneybag: …just that alone is a big enough conflict-of-interest that should automatically disqualify them from being candidates.

How can you provide genuine feedback that actually relates to regular/everyday players if part (or most) of your personal income DEPENDS on being pro-Blizzard/white knighting?? …Exactly :joy:

A similar conflict-of-interest exists with green MVP posters. They are already beholden to Blizzard/“owned” by Blizzard on account of their special green “privileges” which can simply be taken away unless they white knight/defend the status quo. They also can’t be trusted to give genuine feedback or speak for regular/everyday players.

The selected candidates should be regular/everyday players from the general public, I can’t stress this enough! :expressionless:

Problem with the “listening” is that the developers don’t act in our interest. The good changes are only released when the game is in a bad state, player numbers are dwindling or a scandal is the hot topic of the week.

Constantly saying “We’re listening this time for realsies trust us!!!” every expac and then doing the exact opposite of what people want leads to that.

Blizzard burned the good will they had, it’s on them that people are so negative and untrusting.

Maybe that is what they are trying to do here because they know the messed up and they are trying to make up for it.

That is true and maybe with this, change will be made so that doesn’t happen again. I am not defending how the Devs are doing is right, but hopefully this will make that change that people wanted. We won’t know till we see the outcome.

If that is the case, then honestly, I think those people need to move on from WoW to something else. If that trust is no longer there, why bother put any investment into their game?

I did and unsubbed. 6 month plan though so you all get to enjoy my company here on the forums until April. It’s more fun here than in the game itself oddly enough.

You can enjoy a game without liking the company behind it. Pretty common really.

Though personally, as one of those people, I’ve pretty much abandoned retail for TBCC at this point.

That’s fair.

Maybe - but it’s too late for this. I will change my stance only when the improvements will keep on coming for years now. It’s actually sad that I’m waiting for the current FF14 expansion to become free to play so I can try out the lion race at end of November. I do really care for WoW but the game is plagued with consumer unfriendly decisions that I really wonder why it had to take a sex scandal to come forward for them.

No, my trust into the developers is gone at the moment.

I kind of feel that is unproductive, but more power to you if you feel that giving a company you hate money is ok to do.

Then I have a question for you then… If they removed all of those people who were involved in the allegation, you are going to hold the other employees there who weren’t involved in it accountable for their actions?

To a degree, I do think some are still held accountable for their actions, like HR staff, but I a am more talking about the Devs or the people who do handle the decisions in the game and such.
