During this PTR we’re experimenting with a new mode that makes it easier for players in a party to do quests and play together: Party Sync. When players activate Party Sync, everyone in the party becomes aligned to the same quest state, including phases. By mousing over a quest in your tracker, you can see who is on the quest, what their progress is, and who’s ready to turn in the quest. There’s something else we’re going to try out on the PTR, a “replay” quest feature. This will allow players who have already completed certain quests to replay those quests with their friends for rewards that are appropriate to their current level, regardless of the original level of the quest.
We’re also relaxing level restrictions on queueing for instanced content with your friends. This allows lower-level players to queue for content in their level range, and higher-level players can choose to join them by having their level scaled down while they’re in the instance. This feature will be available for dungeon instances for PTR Week 1, with PvP instances being flagged in the following weeks. Please note that unlike Timewalking, when your level is scaled down via Party Sync you will temporarily lose access to abilities and powers (such as Azerite traits) with requirements that exceed your reduced level.
This could prove interesting if pulled off correctly.

Geez I’ve been wanting this for years, it’s what I was hoping timewalking was going to be before it…wasn’t that.
Unfortunately I don’t have any newbie friends playing anymore, but maybe next time I do they’ll be more likely to stick around when I can actually play with them.

Ikr?!? Being able to do dungeons as my demon Hunter with sub 100 characters would be awesome! Talk about making it easier to grind dungeons with friends and their alts.
I’m excited to see how this turns out.

My one and only dream is to be able to just do a properly scaled run of molten core. It baffles me a concept like that is not in the game at this point.
I can also only imagine the incoherent rage from this forum if they were to ever scale old raids to be properly playable.

idk guys… This feels wrong.
It’s as though one of these days leveling will be cut from the game completely. This new feature seems to trivialize it just one step closer to obscurity.

If they got rid of sharding and phasing it would never be an issue. I fear only more problems will happen with this. They are creating a solution to a problem they created, that never ends well.

In what way does this trivialize leveling. It’s literally the same thing as it is now.

This wasn’t the default already for questing in a group? I suddenly undestand some frustrated threads that were confusing me.
This allows lower-level players to queue for content in their level range
That ^
In other words, gaining a higher level has less value than it used to because now there’s artificially less barrier to entry for certain content.
This allows lower-level players to queue for content in their level range
in their level range
their level range
lower-level
level range
I think you misunderstood the premise here. Nobodies scaling up.

Where are people seeing news about party sync?
I like this, let’s hope they pull it off and it works.
Right, downleveling yes - upleveling no. Makes sense since upleveling new players would put them in an “I have no idea what to do with any of this stuff that just appeared on my bars” and new players should have to work their way to content instead of being dragged up into it.

This sounds an awful like certain features present in another MMO that shall not be named. Just saying lol.

Oh wow even MORE useless scaling. Just remove levels from the game altogether and be done with it.
So glad Classic is almost here.

I am…cautiously excited. I think party sync could be amazing, but I don’t trust Blizzard’s implementation of anything after the mess they’ve made of scaling.

lol I find it hilarious that you think this would be equivilent to removing levels from the game yet are also looking forward to a version of the game with literally less levels in the game.
Could you PLEASE explain to me how you feel this would be “removing levels”?
