So here we are again. Another expansion, another (semi-) lengthy intro sequence.
But this time, after Warbands, you would have thought that Blizz have recognized that people want to play alts, and the order in which they level their characters shouldn’t matter, right?
Nah. They’ve again slipped on a banana peel and made it so you must do the entire campaign before you can skip the intro.
Some of us have crafter alts, I imagine many of us have crafter alts. I started my “main” in TWW first as she has Enchanting (so she can get a head-start DEing unneeded equipment) and Mining (to give my Blacksmith a head-start).
But, to bring my Blacksmith into Dornogal to begin her crafting, I must first do a lengthy intro stuff with Dalaran, the crash, and clearing out Dornogal, probably an hour total.
And what’s worse, the intro questline doesn’t even give you a weapon this time, like in some past expansions. Maybe if we at least got a weapon or something out of the intro questline, that might have made it a little better?
Anyhow, the skip should be available once you get a main past the intro so that you can play any alt you want, at any time you want, as was the goal of Warbands in the first place. Seems rather silly to force a player to go all the way through the entire campaign before letting them skip the intro so they can start leveling crafters or some-such.
