Into the Dunes [Bugged]

Hey,

So this quest [Into the Dunes; 0/1 Fly into Vol’dun] has been bugged out for me for days. Basically after the cinematic in the desert, I’m stuck flying in the air on the Pterrordax with Kaja. After a few seconds, the game will either disconnect or reload me back at The Royal Armory where I initially took off on the Pterrordax. I got it once to drop me to my death, but that was not progress. lol

I’ve tried just about everything to get through it but no luck. I saw the patch today and was hoping it got fixed, but apparently not. There are many others standing by Kaja trying to do the quest too, and I’ve found threads from a few days ago discussing it as well.

Is this not going to be addressed? This seems pretty significant of an issue. If it’s going to be ages before it’s fixed, is there anyway support will be able to help me through the quest? Or am I just screwed?

Your best bet is to put in a support ticket in game. It takes about 3 days to get a response, but people have had success with the GM giving them credit for the quest.

Hello,

Thanks! I contacted support and they were able to progress me through the bugged quest. Hopefully it gets fixed soon, but for others with the problem (and I saw a lot in game) just contact support! :slight_smile:

The best part, is this storyline quest is broke and so in the starting Legion storyline quest. I guess new players aren’t allowed in the game anymore.

We believe that we’ve fixed this bug recently.

Please try it again if you have a character that can proceed there.

I can confirm that this bug is still occurring today. Tried all the steps recommended and was unable to proceed through. Waiting on a reply from support to hopefully progress me through.

Still happening as of tonight. June 10th 2022. this is my first horde character and i was hoping to be able to unlock the vulpera soon.

It is still not fixed. It was attempted June 10, 11, 12, 13 to no avail. I tried completing some WQ’s near the area that the cut scene ends in case they were interfering with quest completion but that didn’t help either. Please fix this.

I feel for everyone here who wants to unlock Vulpera and must be so incredibility frustrating. I’m not being sarcastic either. Hoping Blizz will pay attention to the players, the threads are growing on this topic.

Just throwing my name on here as well - happened yesterday for me on this character. Can’t progress :frowning: Trying to unlock Zandalari Trolls.

Opened a ticket, got an automated reply telling me to try abandoning, reaccepting, relogging, etc. All things I’ve tried a dozen times each.

Ticket is still open after 22 hours - hoping someone sees it.

Try turning on Warmode. It’s been working for other players to progress through Into the Dunes.

I already had help from support to progress me through, but I never thought to try Warmode. Hopefully they fix this fast, otherwise, everyone here with the issue just needs to report it. It can take 3-4 days, but at least then you can progress! :slight_smile:

Turning on Warmode before mounting the Pterrordax solved this issue for me. I just did it a couple of minutes ago.
