Interesting... Vrykul Are Considered Alliance

They actually are not. There is no lore to support that whatsoever.

actually I think it would be interesting to see a few horde loyalists like humans etc after all im sure theres plenty of defias still around that aren’t exactly on SW friendly list thanks to lady prestor AKA Onyxia so theyd have good reason to openly support the horde given the homeless situation still ongoing in sent hill

after all Alliance does have a goblin in their ranks and hes 100% team blue he hangs out at SI7 as one of their operatives

We shouldn’t be advocating for humans to be playable on Horde, mind you, but there is some precedent in lore. The Kingdom of Alterac sided with the Old Horde in the Second War and was summarily dismantled by the Alliance due to their treachery. The members of the Syndicate have more than enough reason to lean Horde over Alliance.

Well, you see, if Vrykuls were to be added in, they would have to be a neutral race and available for both Alliance and Horde being that the Horde would cause this forum to crash and burn from the salt that would cause and because the Alliance never generally get allied races we actually want.

Back in WC2 one of the Human Kingdoms sided with the Horde.

Some people want the Alteraci to join the Horde lol

no no not playable but acting as npcs for their own interests after all a enemy of my enemy is a friend and honestly groups like the defias cant exactly be picky when it comes to allies

Fun fact, the last remaining member of the Alterac royal Family, Isiden, was supposed to be living in Gilneas under Genn’s care.

Sucks that they forgot that plot point but they could bring it back some way.

Hey. You. You’re finally awake.

A viking diaper baby dork? I mean I guess

Vrykul fit in with the horde a lot more than they do with alliance in my opinion.

Nothing ‘fits in’ with the Horde anymore. The horde is way too diverse today to say it has any sort of overarching theme.

That’s the point of the Horde.

Misfits banding together.

If you can call Zandalar, Quel’Thalas and Suramar; 3 of the most developed and culturally advanced societies on Azeroth, ‘misfits’ then sure.

Actually, they’re five gnomes in a trench coat.

Developed and advanced doesn’t mean they fit well. Suramar was literally rejected by their kin as soon as they got out of their bubble.

Zandalar advanced? they are just a bit more civilized than other trolls. But yeah horde stopped being misfits since BC when they got the super elite elves.

Horde and alliance are pretty much just differentiated because Horde still has tribal people in it while Alliance has high tech aliens.

They were the ones who thought themselves superior and refused to get out of their bubble for that reason (and as soon as they did, they tried to kill Nelves, if anything, they were doing the rejecting. Zandalari act as an overseeing empire to other trolls and goblins are the most wealthy people on the planet.

Only if you look at it from a Eurocentric standpoint. They seem to be culturally and technologically on pretty much that same level as humans in-game, they just developed along a different path.

They’re equivalent to the Aztec in real life, who were one of the most advanced Empires on Earth at the time.

Remember that alot of the more advanced technology we see humans using is of dwarven and gnomish make, not human. Plus it was the high elves who taught them magic.

I see you haven’t met Ulfar.

Indeed I am. Not all of my people agreed with the conflict. Have you never seen division among your own?
We Thornspeakers joined Kul Tiran society. Some of their descendants heard the call of the wilds and wished to learn the ancient ways, and so we have taught them. -Ulfar

Oh and if you didn’t know, surprise, the Drust are Vrykul. It’s been hinted at and also confirmed by devs.

That just explains where the Kul Tiran druids came from. Nice Drust that lived with them taught them. It doesn’t mean they’ve done any interbreeding. Blizzard confirmed that the big Kul Tirans are just Humans.

I think the keywords here are “we thornspeakers” and “their descendants”.

Not “our descendants”.

The Thornspeakers were a Drust group. They joined the Kul Tiran society. Then their descendants heard the call of the wilds.

That confirms they interbred.

Again Thornspeakers are Drust. The modern-day Thornspeakers are all Kul Tiran (because over time they became the same)

Edit: actually it can be taken multiple ways. Depends on who their refers to. The Thornspeakers or the Kul Tirans. Assuming Thornspeakers as they are directly addressed. Kul Tirans are the ones they joined.
