Seems like its just a new zone to duel people and battle with others? Could be a cool place if its all xrealm to hang out i guess. Wonder if it is something like WvW for gw2s that would be pretty fun if the servers could handle it properly.
Ok checked ptr found the island its just a small island up the top of the new zone that is a ffa pvp zone like all of them since shadowlands. Seems like it has some flag carrying thing in the middle (or power up thing) that isnt spawned atm.
If FFA is still a thing then I dont want it.

advertising this new island as if it’s some kind of large or unique zone when it reality it’s the same small portion of the map with a very simple world quest tied to it like every other zone since Dragonflight is funny.
I would’ve rather them said nothing at all or straight up say “no new content, just numbers tuning and shuffle changes” (related to prots and ordering of teams, which I am SHOCKED that they even did tbh).

Alliance sentiment. If you play horde, the entire open world feels like a FFA zone. FFA zones don’t even register to characters who never get to see friendly nameplates anyway.
I dunno, it’s pretty special watching the Alliance kill each other over that one crate on the island in Isle of Dorn.
They do it gladly, it’s the only time they get to engage in wpvp

Idc, if you are always outnumbered there are always raids available. I just hate fighting other alliance I hate blizzard deleting factions I want to root for my blue team vs red team not this garbage reeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I was on the outnumbered side back in the day when belf and orc were op broken and never asked for ffa to help me I just made a raid and invited peeps.
It would need pvp quests like assassination contracts against other players in the area to make it fun.
I think if they’re ever going to do open world pvp, it needs to have grouping disabled. I’m all for playing with friends, but it just promotes mass toxicity where 30 people group to kill 1-2 players at a time.

This is why you have to make honor mean something. If its meaningless, people dont care if the honor they get is being divided by 20-40. Make honor worth something and you might disincentivize that particular degeneracy.
The island being unimmersive ffa wpvp killed any interest I had. We need faction wpvp back. WoW is still supposed to be an rpg.
Joining a raid group should be disabled while warmode is on.
The irony here is that people who still believe this mostly play horde. People who just want one-sidedness, convenience, battleground map advantage and better racials went alliance.
