and yet, the entire expansion seems to be more garbage surrounding Sylvanas.
Methinks nobody would buy the expac if Sylvanas was on the cover. That’s how sick players are of her character; it tells ya something about player preferance when people get more excited about seeing the Lich King than more of a badly written McGuffin character.

Meh they haven’t even gone into detail yet, Bolvar could be intricate to the story. I know he guides you in there with his DK’s, but he’s not dead. He got defeated yes, but his life wasn’t tied to the helm since the red dragons kept him alive with life fire.
Sylvanas had been all over the BfA advertising materials and whatnot, in terms of marketing you want to show people something different for a new expansion. So Bolvar is put onto things.
But do you really think Bolvar’s only role was to get beaten by Sylvanas? Come on dude.
I imagine there will be an LK again by the end of the expansion. A new helm will be forged or something from the jailer (when he probably dies) will be used to hold off the scourage. The scourage just cant run rampart on Azeroth forever.
Collect fragments my champion, together we will forge a new helm… the blood of hakkar, the sacred metal found in the heart of mountain of deathly death death… so death mountain. Forged in the fires of the ghostly spooks forge.
Ah my champion… have a legendary, it’s power will make you unstoppable… but 19 other raiders will need it too. Oh and your alt needs it to find a group.
Sylvanas is the lead character in two expansions in a row which is a horrible idea. The end of Shadowlands will come when they release BC after classic. I get this feeling we will be receiving small expansions from now on. I think Legion was the last grand hurrah.
You hit the nail on the head. I was excited after seeing the standing lich king. If sylvanas had been the cover I probably wouldn’t have even bought the blizzcon virtual ticket.
Bolvar isn’t dead. Supposedly he has a major role in this expansion. Apparently he has known, or at the very least had high expectations, that Sylvanas was up to something serious. It falls in line with what he had DKs doing in Legion.
Poor guy is probably going to be the new Saurfang the entire expansion. Its not enough that he has endured crazy pain and torture, he is now going to mope around the entire expansion, only for Sylvanas to one shot him when she feels like it, just like she did to Saurfang
