Prior to Ulduar patch I have bound my mousewheel down to interact on mouseover.
I use it to target enemies in combat, loot dead mobs, use my fishing bobber. Ever since the update the functionality has broke, I can no longer select targets with it I get locked onto one target and if I use right click to move my character for instance the target gets unselected. My muscle memory is so tied to playing with the interact on mouseover being tied to the mousewheel down, I would really like to see this fixed.

Can confirm this bug.
This functionality is critical to me. I’m a handicapped user with forearm pain and I avoid it by using mousewheel + interact with mouseover. I can’t really play without it =/

This desperately needs a fix. 15 year vet and this is the first time this interaction has changed. Almost like it has sticky targeting, something is seriously broken.

Yep. Needs to be rectified. Common keybind for people looking to loot faster and for pvp.

You guys should check out the Soft Target system from Dragonflight that was quietly ported to Wrath. It’s probably what broke your existing workflow, but with some tweaking might be preferable anyway:

We’re making some progress! I bet that’s what it is. Blue’s, can we get an actual bug report going? It seems that NPCs in Dal under 10 yards work, but players, friendly or not do not.
I have tried playing with the values to get the old functionality back with no success. Any one else have better luck?
