Click fishing, game casts bobber
Bobber dips in (fish ready)
I hit interact button that ive selected… nothing.
I click bobber like shudders the old ways… and my loot is there
Anyone else having issue with this ?
I know it works with the other quest related interactions but i thought this feature was added especially to make fishing slightly more enjoyable
I thought this was the only way to fish.
I just started playing around with it yesterday, but I have the same issue. Interact button seems to only work if you’re centered on the bobber and it isn’t cast too far out.
It works about 50% of the time for me.
(Even with oversized bobber)
Seems like bobber has to be dead center while max zoomed in.
The struggle is that your bobber placement has a little variation even when standing in the same spot and it appears to lose interaction sometimes.
Edit: there also must not be anything else near you to interact with.
The moment they announced it i thought i could essentially afk fish.
Press 1 to cast bobber
Press 2 when i hear the sound
No need to watch screen, etc
But seeing as its not working as i thought guess ill just go back to purchasing my fish from my local market

Yeah that’s how it’s supposed to work.
Unfortunately it’s not quite there yet. End up losing fish because it fails to interact
No, you can do this. 
It just seems to have a moderate failure rate, but maybe that can be improved by removing other things that can be “interacted” with. Will test more soon.
If you have issues using the interact button for fishing you can use the following commands to adjust how sensitive the interact button is to what is around you.
/console SoftTargetInteractArc 2 (This will allow you to interact with the bobber no matter which way you are facing.)
/console SoftTargetInteractRange 30 (This increases the interaction range to 30 yards)
