This is a bit first world problem, I suppose, but there are some itemization issues I’ve been having trouble with, and was wondering if Blizzard ever directly addressed the question before. When I play most healing classes, I enjoy being able to use powerful dps trinkets in M+ and raid, especially since I mostly do content at a level, and with a group, where people are semi-competent and not requiring me to spam throughput heals nonstop. There are numerous trinkets in the current raid and M+ season that help my priest, shaman, druid and evoker to pump helpful amounts of damage on huge trash packs and boss burst windows, and these are really fun to play with.
However, both paladins and monks are in an odd situation. Like all healers, their healing spec uses intellect, but unlike all other healers, they do not have a dps spec that uses intellect (using strength/agility respectively). Because of this, they are unable to set a loot spec in dungeons to get +intellect dps trinkets, unable to roll need on +intellect dps trinkets in raid in a group loot situation and, most egregiously, unable to get these valuable trinkets from the weekly vault, which wouldn’t negatively affect anyone else who wanted those trinkets and who wouldn’t want to see a paladin/monk rolling on them in group content.
Dungeon Trinkets: Vessel of Skittering Shadows, Caged Horror, Corrupted Starlight
Raid Trinkets: Nymue’s Unraveling Spindle, Belor’Relos
Obviously, Belor’Relos is the big one, and a major boon in M+, but paladins/monks have no way of getting it without going into a raid and making a charisma check again the caster dps classes who (justifiably) also all want it. What feels bad about this is that last season had the Beacon to the Beyond trinket, which was class/spec agnostic, and is something paladins/monks COULD get in their vault, from weekly timewalking/mythic quest rewards, etc. Belor’Relos is a strictly more powerful version of this trinket for Holy paladins and Mistweaver monks specifically, given the big chunk of main stat (rather than the comparatively weaker mastery on Beacon)
