Amd ryzen better now? Heavy mult tasking easy on those amd?
Intel is still faster at gaming, but worse than Ryzen at everything else. It’s also much more expensive, and unless you are gaming at 1080p with a very fast GPU, it won’t really matter much.
An i5-10600k costs $277, and you’ll need at least a $50 cooler to keep it in check. That’s $327.
A Ryzen 5 3600 comes with a factory cooler, which while not amazing, works and won’t throttle. It’s currently $159.
At 1440p with any GPU, there won’t really be a noticeable difference between the two. And you’re looking at more than double the cost.
So yeah, Intel kinda isn’t in in a cost or extreme performance position right now.
This isn’t the same story as the i7-8700k at $359 + $50 cooler vs. the Ryzen 5 1600 for $199 back in 2017, where there was as much as a 40-50% difference in performance. That justified the cost difference. Today, not so much.
