We should be able to play Hearthstone with anyone in-game. Put the play tables in the Inns. This would be huge for socializing. Could even change the UI so you could see other player’s characters when you’re sitting down at the table, as well as the cards in your hand. I believe Mark Kern said that they were originally considering putting a TCG into the game before Classic was launched. Now that one exists, this should be a no-brainer.

Im pretty sure they aren’t going to put a free to play game with micro transactions behind a sub pay wall.
Oh, man. The ability to play a card game based on WoW inside WoW. That would be like if Triple Triad cards were based on Final Fantasy characters.

Well, not only do they have to track player information like what’s in their bags, bank, or on their character and account information, but they also need to track a wide variety of cards as well as make a patch every so often to integrate Hearthstone expansions into the game each time they come out. All that data would be a problem.
Could work if Hearthstone was actually any fun.
Disclaimer: It was fun up until Kobolds and Catacombs, after that it just became a little much. You’d blink and miss about 4 expansions, can’t even catch up.

They should just give us an in game arcade room with a ticket counter. Think brawlers club meets Dave and Busters.

The Witcher integrated this with their game, that was pretty fun for the couple months I slogged through Witcher III, dont see why it couldnt be put in WOW even in a basic form that mirrors but is not connected to Hearthstone proper…
The pay wall would be a non-issue as the only people playing Hearthstone in game would be people who currently have a sub. The people who play Hearthstone without a wow sub would be wholly unaffected.

It would be nice to incorporate some kind of gambling system in-game (in the DMF anyway). There could be races, and you can have a minimum bet of 1,000g, depending on the limits.
The races consist of 12 runners, and it’s a FFA (Everything is allowed), it’ll be like Thunderdome.
This would be pretty awesome if they did. Was kinda surprised it wasn’t like that to begin with. EverQuest2 had Legends of Norrath TCG built into their MMO. It was an awesome way to kill time while your raid was forming.
I mean it is an interesting idea however, it is its own game by itself and doesn’t quite make sense to do so.

I’m assume OP wants HS to still exist like normal outside of wow, just have to ability to also play it against other players in game.

Yeah, it would just allow you to play the game from inside WoW. I feel like a lot of people who otherwise would never have considered playing will give it go. It’s one thing to play HS from behind a computer monitor, but actually hanging out with and meeting other players in-game and then setting up a table to play with each other just adds a new dimension to the experience. Seems simple enough, but incorporating a “metaverse” element to socializing virtually could make a big difference to people’s interest in the game.

Fun fact: I believe Hearthstone, within lore, is actually a card game in Azeroth.
