it’s like 5% of my healing in a raid. Same for the other pala in my raid. The shaman and the priest there tonight its more around 7-9% of their healing and it stays the same across different bosses. I still outhealed them but…Insurance sucks I don’t like it
Do you have 4-piece yet? (I’m still at 3 pieces currently).
Hitting all targets of your Toll with Insurance seems like it would be great in raid, and borderline overpowered in M+
Firstly Insurance is pretty boring as a concept so in that regard I understand, however, a 1:1 comparison with other healer’s Insurance values is an overly simplified comparison.
Our 4p gives us CDR on Divine Toll whereas Shamans increases Chain Heal, Healing Surge or Healing Wave by 10% when Insurance is consumed.
Based on the review Theun did during the PTR, they only get this buff when someone drops below 40% and pops the insurance so their 4p is considerably weaker than ours. In fact, it could be worthless late in the season when things are on farm.
From a very quick look of logs, I found a case where over a 5.5 minute fight, a shaman got 6 procs of the 10% buff. Whereas a Holy Paladin over a 5.5 minute fight can expect around 100 seconds of CDR or 2 additional Divine Toll cast (6->8). So the comparison is really 2 Divine Tolls vs 6 x 10% increases to Chain Heal.
It’s kinda not even close. Ours is a lot better imo.
Insurance does about 7% of my overall healing on mythic progression. Depending on the fight, it can do more healing than double beacon. It’s pretty strong for what it is. In fact, it’s stronger than some of our other abilities (holy prism, for example).
oh I guess to clarify I mostly dislike how it’s boring and they are genericish across classes. I do have 4 piece and the cdr is nice. Just feels very meh for a set bonus, and then I noticed other classes getting more value from it and I was just like mmm even worse lol
Feels a little better in M+ getting fast divine tolls and triply holy shocks with BoV. That does sound pretty bleh tho for shamans. But tbh that kinda reinforces that Insurance sucks and these tier sets are meh. Maybe the numbers are okayish but they aren’t much fun to play around
I agree with that; it’s certainly dull and uninspiring. The 4 set is pretty great, though, and I believe it’s probably one of the strongest sets out of the healers.
