I get that this is toxicity that Blizzard is partly to blame for, but really, people need to knock it off.
Blizzard gave us hunters the ability to tame numerous world bosses. Just because someone wants to kill a world boss for a mount doesn’t mean that I’m not entitled to try to tame that world boss.
Dunegorger, the BFA Zandalar world boss, is up this week and I finally decided to go tame him twice for a double dino team. Of course this led to less-than-friendly interactions with others, but it’s not my fault tamed mobs don’t drop loot. Take it up with Blizzard for making it an all-or-nothing deal.
Bu we shouldn’t have to not play the game the way I want to play it.
Hunters shouldn’t have to wait until there’s 0 players around to tame a pet. Let us get in, get our pets and go home, never to bother your endless farming of the world again again.

I was actually thinking about this because of that other thread that mentioned the boss is available. Which I LOVE that person for doing, otherwise I wouldn’t have known.
There have been a LOT of people around that world boss, I have been doing the boss on alts between work stuff and every time there is a small group around the boss, and the boss is either dead or just dying when I pull up. Maybe that post has something to do with this! It’s amazing to see multiple people still doing older content.
That being said, because it seems to be gaining traction that this is an easy boss to kill now, hunters should consider turning WM on and going out there during off hours to tame their pet. The respawn is VERY fast.
If someone asks me if they can tame the pet, I’d let them. But it isn’t reasonable or realistic to expect multiple people, from both factions, to happily oblige you. I don’t feel bad for saying that.

The only reason why I haven’t tamed it yet is because it drops Molly. I typically tame world bosses when there is no one on the boss or someone is AFK waiting for more people to kill it.

If I am in war mode, I usually tame the world boss to troll a lonely orc lol.
How about growing a skin. Or just go away?

You get zero points for arguing in favor of multiple T Rex pets. It’s only the most unoriginal annoying huntard alt thing to do.
Btw, you could already have had a double T Rex team by taming Oondasta and Thok.

Not partly to blame… The blame goes 100% onto Blizzard.
Of course, I noticed you also said,

Perhaps what you need to do is to take it up with Blizzard, not the people who are waiting to kill a world boss whose original purpose was to be killed.

I myself as a BM Hunter use to get pissed off when trying to get mount from Oondasta and some hunter tames it with a bunch of folks trying to kill it …I could careless to have it as a pet…and even if I was going to tame it I would do it at dead of night off hours and try not to piss off other players but that’s just me…lucky I don’t have to do that world boss anymore or one that drops Molly I have both mounts now.
What gives your desire for a mount priority over a hunter wanting a pet?
Both are cosmetic.

Blizzard should have just added look alike pets to tame instead. Also as hunters, our time isn’t more valuable somehow than the time of people farming mounts.

Hunter pets are so not special and they are boring. I miss how unique they were. But Blizzard had to dumb it down.
I know some people like the looks but I do agree that Blizzard needs to stop with the rare pet taming all it causes is stress.
I have more respect for the player base then to steal a kill from others…its just so damn disrespectful to other players in my eyes…BM hunter is one of the smallest player base but make up most hateful of other players sometimes…
Letting Hunters tame world bosses is one of the most puzzling moves of recent years, imo.
All it did was cause resentment between players.
It’s usually several players going for the kill versus 1 hunter trying to tame it.
The hunter gets lower priority by virtue of the majority there to kill it.
They should undo the change and make unique mobs that share the same model as the boss for Hunters to tame.

I just run around with all my skitters. That said didn’t Blizz change it so that if a boss got tamed it like respawns right away?
