Having Vanilla content back in the game as it was before Cata. And can switch between them through bronze dragon or something.
I think THIS is what many wanted over Classic. What do you all think?
Granted one of the big appeals to Classic was the Classic zones, people wanted to play vanilla on a blizzard hosted server.

Classic has been so popular that I’m told they are attempting to do that with shadowlands. How well will they execute it? We’ll find out…

The design concepts of shadowlands and the development of shadowlands was going on long before classic launched. The success/failure of classic has little to nothing to do with shadowlands.
If not for a pandemic this game was already going downhill 3-4 months in. Thank god for lockdowns eh

I actually recommended they put the vanilla zones back in as part of Chromie Time. GD shut me down telling me “teh itemization” but if you think about it the itemization between now and cata is every bit as different.
I enjoy classic. A lot. But would I love to hang in oldschool hillsbrad or whatnot on my retail characters? Of course. Cata-land is one of the main reasons I love the classic alternative, I just hate that particular remix so much and if they won’t reintroduce classic zones I hope they at least remix them again to something less expansion plot oriented in 10.0 or something.
You mean like keep all the missing abilities, missing talents, easymode stuff, but just revert the zones? No way.
