Instead of the Marksmanship changes

Imo, the fantasy for a Lone Wolf ranged class does NOT belong in Hunter. Instead a fourth Rogue spec should be added Sniper. A ranged stealth class that focuses on big shots, repositioning, and some shadow magic. Give people the Hawkeye/Legolas/Sniper playstyle they’ve been looking for in Hunter Marksmanship in a class actually dedicated to skulking and sniping.

The four biggest D&D style rogue archetypes are: dagger wielding assassin, swashbuckler, ninja, and ranged sniper. Give us the missing archetype and let everyone who hates Pets go there.

Plus this would make ranged weapons useful to at least one other class, which is a plus.

Also, consider adding a Ranged weapon based monk subclass. That way we have more than one class looking to use ranged weapons.

we should stop suggesting “4th” specs as solutions when in reality it would brick mm and the new spec for 2 expansions like it did for druid

Firmly disagree.

I’m onboard with the MM changes proposed in 11.1.

But I would also love a ranged rogue spec, even if it means giving up on Feint and other useful tools while engaging with that spec.

No, a Bard support spec would be a better idea for a Rogue 4th Spec imo. What Marksman needs is:

  1. Heroism available with Lone Wolf active
  2. Lone Wolf and pets balanced in such a way as to make them both viable (or at least make pets only marginally worse than Lone Wolf)

This is not Dungeons and Dragons, it is World of WarCraft.

Sniper works just fine within Hunter, tyvm.

MM hunter removing how bloody clunky it is to cast lust with that spec is a fantastic change.

Or, and hear me out on this. MM is already a stealthed sniper. No need to develop a copy/paste of MM and call it a rogue. Rogue is great at being a rogue at the moment.
