Instead of perma-death

Removing perma death from hardcore won’t save anything. Got ideas for improvement that don’t revolve around “in just deaths”? By all means. List em.

Yes. Let’s just remove the key selling point of the game. What is the worst that could happen?

Every game with a HC mode has a way of cheating death so it’s not perma if you prepare properly.

This is done specifically to avoid unfair deaths.

Losing all gold and gear would be a very good punishment for dying and remove the tedious leveling part.

You are the one ignoring. Perma death is THE key feature for hard core wow. Don’t like it? Don’t play it. It is genuinely that simple. Don’t say a feature needs changed because you don’t like it. Especially when it is the most advertised selling point.

The key features for HC wow are leveling and the economy.

Unfair deaths are the worst feature of HC WOW.

You realize that losing your stuff is not a big deal unless you’re already in the endgame gearing ladder, right? Maybe you have to walk for a few levels if you lose your mount at 40…

Bank alts would trivialize a big chunk of that penalty. Put away some gold to buy new greens if you die.

Yes it is a very big deal as you can’t buy new gear without gold and you have to farm new gear.

You could also remove 10 levels of XP for a death.

Go look at the rules of engagement on the official post. Know what the first thing they talk about is? “ DEATH ON HARDCORE REALMS IS PERMANENT ON THAT REALM.” that right there is the selling point. Not economy. Not handholding cause someone thinks their death was unfair. As I said. Play normal if you are incapable of mentally handling losing a character.

It’s a great proposal when you already have to amend it to something completely different (remove 10 levels).

I never said re leveling 10 times is fun.

The 1st time is fun.

I know what it says, I’m suggesting to change it to avoid HC dying.

Between original WoW, classic, SoM, and the future FRESH, how many times have you re-levelled?

OP is a known troll who hates Hardcore mode and makes these kinds of threads…but just felt like it should be mentioned that there is no permadeath. You just go play on another server.

It’s fun when spread out, not over and over from 1 to 15 in the same 3 zones.

Dying to DCs and other random BS is not fun with no way to avoid them.

I forgot about this, but when I very first played WoW, it took quite a while for it to sink in that you don’t lose xp when you die!

This probably should have been baseline for non-HC WoW.

No-one cares about your opinion. You’re a nobody. And you clearly don’t belong in HC.

You are playing the wrong game if you feel this way.

The entire selling point of WOW was that it DID NOT take away items and XP in normal mode.

This is how it became popular.

You are not WOW’s target audience.

I definitely thought this when I read the HC rule set, since I’m much more of an instance runner typically than a quester, but surprisingly (or not), HC classic has given me a whole new appreciation for the game.
