Instead of Class Halls; Race Cities

Id pay good money to have a reason to go to Ironforge, WoWs greatest city. And im sure the other races feel the same way about their class cities. Give us a reason to go.

The latter day heritage quests were really good. I still havent done the troll herotage quest, but that Draenei questline was spectacular (the set, less so). Maybe you do a few of those for each race. And then make the Alliance capitol Ironforge.

Can I have Undercity back?

Be careful what you wish for… Blizzard grants wishes through a monkey’s paw…

We asked to reclaim Undercity, Gilneas, & Gnomergan… they granted “Reclaim city but never get to go back”…

We asked for a new home for Night Elves… they granted a copy paste of the Druid Orderhall with a few alterations…

We asked for tails on Worgen… they granted nothing and made jokes in poor taste…

don’t you know, Exodar in draenei means “defective elek turd?”

as for Ironforge… I’d be happy with a faster way to get there. Not the tram and not flying from SW every single time.

Um excuse me?

Port SW, port Boralus, port Iron Forge

No no it means that in Naaru, my dear :stuck_out_tongue:

We should have thought about it before calling it that :pensive:.

I went to Silvermoon yesterday. It got me thinking about all the cities since and before then. How really Dornogal is immensely superior to Silvermoon but still having the feeling that it would be nice to have a reason to visit Silvermoon from time to time other than to run through and see that odd one or two players walking through the echoing passages.

Ironforge really is something though. I ended up playing horde but IF has a mythical quality in my memory. The dwarf hunter I made to play through the start area all because that epic cinematic.

Blizz, come on, pump that nostalgia right into my veins.

I would love to see an expansion dedicated to this. Remade capital cities for all the races. I’m not sure what would happen with Allied Races, either their own city, or a large and distinct district in SW or Org, something like that. The questing experience would be done based upon the race of your character, Humans would start in Stormwind, etc. Questing to max level would revolve around events in the capital and surrounding zones, whether it’s with a change in leadership, corruption, influential forces in the area, etc.

Silvermoon at its time felt awesome. Exodar never really had its moment because it was way too big

That’s like taking the tram, with extra steps.
I’ve truly never understood why there aren’t portals to Ironforge in Stormwind. Yeah the tram is cool, maybe twice. Flying really does not take long. Still though…

Garrosh tried to make a race city but y’all had some problems with that

Yes, and you can keep it.

Quicker that hole is filled in the better.

Most of the ARs would just need their existing starting areas populated, and several have full cities already. The Mag’har are the only ones that genuinely have nothing unless you partition off a chunk of their Draenor at another point in time.

No. You guys destroyed it yourselves, you’ve proven you can’t be responsible with it.

It could be a good time to merge them with their main race.

Alliance would be one race short if that happened, since Vulpera aren’t just different customization options for an existing race.

If you gave the alliance a race to replace them, now the Horde is the one screwed over because Alliance gets both an extra race + all the Mechagnome options rolled into gnomes while Horde only gets the extra race.

Before allied races can be consolidated we need another pair of allied races where the Alliance gets a race that isn’t just customization options for an existing race, while the Horde gets a race that is.

I vote Rajani Mogu for the Alliance and Gilgoblins for the Horde.

I would like to see cities made into cultural areas. They would still have all the functions of cities but would have side quest that offer history on the race. Areas for mini games like trying Draenei cultural fighting, making Dwarven beer or weapons, and etc. Libraries with readable books about those races. And with housing coming ways to get items racial home items. We also have seen funeral rites but it would be nice to see how the different races get ready for weddings, births, coming of age and whatever else. If you look at these and do them for each race that is a ton of content and helps flesh out the races in WoW even more.
