Instead of a new expansion after SL

Can we get an overhaul of the current world? Let’s come back from the SL and rebuild Lordaeron, let’s get a graphics update for every major city, update the graphics of the already existing gear (no need to keep the old graphics now that classic and soon TBC servers exist). I think it would really make the game feel better to see a complete revamping of Azeroth with modern graphics and character models.

It’s definitely time for updated graphics for cities, lore characters, old gear, old mounts, old NPCs (Hogger I’m looking at you), old dungeons, just everything that’s outdated. Imagine a Western Plaguelands or Felwood with today’s graphics.

that would still be an expansion pack

While it would be cool, it would be a huge waste of development time and I don’t think they would ever commit to that. They’ll probably just update zones that are involved in current story and hopefully we will see Lordaeron rebuilt soon and a new city for the Night Elves/Worgen, maybe even a salvaged Gnomeragen.

I’m saying keep expanding on SL instead of rolling out a new one. Keep the timeline where it’s at and add double the raid tiers, double the dungeons, etc etc.

Let’s get a new class* fixed your entire post for you, you’re welcome.

New classes are never a bad thing. Wouldn’t say you fixed it per se though

I’d love an old world overhaul. Updated towns like crossroads, etc and add new threats etc. I really wish there were super rare world bosses that would appear with actual cool rewards.

I say after SL we go out into the cosmos. Warcraft has a HUGE universe. Let’s explore it whilst fighting the void and light.

shadowslands is predicated on us not going back to the regular world. the portals in oribos are for game mechanic reasons. continuity wise the player is stuck in the shadowlands currently. given the nature of how blizzard does expansion packs it likely at least the first half of the next one will take place on azeroth(with accompanying changes). they usually change a couple old zones per new expansion when we aren’t world hoping.
