Read the quest or you wont know what to do or where to go. No in-game quest helper to save you.
I’m actually playing in first person mode with click to move.

No, in the original game, text scrolled into the quest window, and there was an option that everyone turned on to have the text appear immediately.
RP’ers were about the only ones who let it scroll and read it as it did.

I played Vanilla with a macro, back before Instant Quest Text was an option, for leveling alts where I had read the quests many times before.
/script AcceptQuest()
Right click the questgiver, hit the macro, bam, quest’s in your log.

Oooh, in that case, I will probably let it scroll at pace for my first time thru each quest (gonna be a reader this time around).
Alts are gonna blast thru it though. Ain’t nobody got time for that twice.
I find the scrolling text too slow for how quickly I can read, so I never use it.

My issue with it is that I actually read faster than the text appears, so I’m mostly just waiting.
Not reading the quest is different than waiting for the quest to even show up so you can bloody read it in the first place.
I won’t be, so few of the quests are worth reading it’s a waste of time.

Nope, no instant quest text. I wanna hear that writing sound in 7.1 while I play Classic in VR.
I’m not reading a single quest, just like always. Instant quest text AND I’ll be downloading the addon that auto accepts and turns in quests.

waiting for quest text is full RP?, i’d say use one of those talking head quest addons if people want RP.
