Instant mail?

I remember when someone mailed you something it took up to an hour or more to get the mail notification on your minimap. The only thing that was ever instant was purchases from the auction house. Does Classic have instant mail?

It has the 1.12 setup. That means messages with only text and/or money, but packages to other people took an hour.

I think it’s the retail mail system, and that it’s not getting changed, you’ll only get instant mail from guildies tho so no worries

That wasn’t introduced until GMail in Cataclysm.

Uh, no it isn’t. Where did anyone say this? Its 1.12 mail system.

EDIT: If you mean the Open All button, that’s not “All retail system”.

No, he said they wouldn’t be removing the “Open All” button, because it could be easily replicated by an addon that everyone would simply install.

He also made direct mention that the 1hr cooldown for mail would exist.

Link please (:

Classic currently has a 1 hr time on mail with items.

Listen to the next two segments. One on mail, the other on the Open All button.

Thank you! I’ll remove my posts I don’t want someone reading my answer and just stopping there then they’d be Wrong too.

I was just talking about this with my husband. He will be levelling in Kalimdor and me in Eastern Kingdoms. We made a deal to send each other greens and items that were unneeded. The 1 hour thing will be annoying but I’m kind of pumped for it in a weird way. It made mail more exciting :grinning:

You didn’t hear this from me.

To avoid that you can both make a bank character and get them to Org.

When you get an item you want to trade to each other mail it to your bank alts first, instant mail to your own characters im pretty sure, then trade the items between the bank characters right next to each other and than instantly mail what you just traded back to yourself :hugs::hugs::hugs:

LOL. You have really thought this through. Cheers for the tip :joy:

NO INSTANT MAIL IN CLASSIC

not even between characters on the same account.
all part of the ‘hardcore’ experience that ‘hardcore’ gamers crave

slow mail is definitely
‘hardcore’!
