Yeah this is one that I think most would agree to change. Even in era. It’s a silly time gate that doesn’t add flavour to the game.

Exactly, I have other things to do then waiting after mail moving stuff around to craft stuff for the AH. Them kids have a busy life and this kind of limitation that existed back then due to server performance has absolutely no reason to exist anymore.

I still can’t figure out why mail is delayed. I assume originally it was a technical reason. Vanilla purists will revolt over this though, as they want to remain in a virtual time capsule.
It was never a technical reason. Kevin Jordan already stated the reason it was originally designed that way was to promote face to face interactions instead of always using mail for everything.

Meh, I get where you’re coming from, and I don’t disagree that people would probably say they wanted this. However, I think that the trade-offs we need to face like whether to mail this to an alt, or meet up with a guild to pass it, and the types of situations that we have as a result are part of the Classic charm that keep us coming back for more.

My cousin is a postal carrier in Orgrimar. What you are asking for would put him out of a job, not to mention the massive tax raise it would take to hire all the mages and warlocks that would be needed to instantly transport all of the mail and packages around.
Our postal carriers work hard, it’s nothing short of amazing that they are able to deliver it as quickly as they can. Show a little gratitude.

Yeah true enough. I think instant trade to one selected alt would be nice. So if you are actively running two chars it would be nice to move stuff back and forth.
But to other chars and bank alts and other players, 1 hour is fine.
