Instant gratification

This game has become so fast paced that everything has to do be done within a certain time, or every battle has to be won, or every raid boss has to be downed within a certain period, based on every individuals preference. I’ve never gambled at a casino, but this game has turned into exactly what I think about when I think of pulling a lever to determine whether I’ve won or not. I’ve played since 2005 and I’ll give the benefit of the doubt that maybe it’s just me that has grown up and run out of time to play a game like WoW, but, I just don’t think its worth it anymore. I know addiction when I see it, this game is an addiction. I hate to let you go, but I think I’ll be glad to be done with it. It’s like the first time drinking, it’s so fun in the beginning, but it gets old and wears you down as you get older. WoW is after a new generation. It’s not my generation. Good luck to all of you who continue in it.

My advice, give your wives/husbands more love, give your children more love. If you have neither, get a wife/husband have some kids and be happy in something other than a slot machine like a gambler in Los Vegas searching for electronic loot and dopamine hits.

everyone in Las Vegas seemed depressed and anxious, and the vibe was terribad. I was expecting Miami Beach and got Times Square.

If I marry, it’ll be for the tax benefits. And I won’t intentionally reproduce under any circumstances.

I blame it all on the invention of the microwave oven: It provided instant gratification at the sacrifice of quality…

Sorry to hear that.

I’m going to be that one Chad and say this wouldn’t make me happy at all.

I’ve seen other couples. It looks like a chore to me. A forced one.

See ya tomorrow.

berserk always existed in wow

So… What was the actionable complaint here?

The title is a buzzword and the only thing I walked away with after reading the OP was surprise at not seeing other buzzwords like entitled and millennial included.

I seem to be the only one in this thread missing the point of it

As near as I can tell, the complaint is that OP isn’t enjoying the game anymore.

The point, if you could call it that, seems to be to tell the world (of warcraft) that he is quitting/has quit the game.

You are not alone op, this game is more of a addiction and not actually fun anymore.

It is trying to grasp its clamy dying hands on new age crowd that cant think past 5 minutes and sucks them in with a few free epic loots.

Then its just down hill, and the trading post is a clear sign of it.

I pray they shut the game down like in china.

Not to worry. World of Warcraft comes with a warning label, for liability reasons.

“Take all things in moderation. Even World of Warcraft!”
