I’m curious why Dracthyr never got instant flight. They’re created with wings. They have dragon blood and flight is natural to them.
Druids have instant flight form by first changing into a bird. They can transform into a bird and fly instantly, yet Dracthyr, who are already in a natural form that has wings, have to kneel down Matrix style and literally charge up just to spread and flap the wings they already have.
What I wanna know is why in Hades there is a cooldown on it at all???

It makes literally zero sense. It has a short “mount casting” time so there is literally no common sense reason for it to have that stupid 10 second CD
And druids have to change their entire body composition yet still get instant flight. AND no one questions the druids when they do this.

they do. It’s called the summoning. Are you new here? also, you have to double tap the spacebar to get them to launch themselves into the air.

i’m not defending anything. I’m simply stating an objective fact. The only two things in the game with instant flight form are the druid and the broom from Halloween. you’re just complaining because you play a race. That’s absolutely boring that in your mind you feel should work differently than the way it does in the game and trust me when I tell you you can ask blizzard for the next 20 years and they won’t do anything about it. People have been asking for instant amounts and instant flight ability for the last 20 years since Druids got it in TBC. also if you want to be taken more seriously, try not to start or end your statements with “lol“. Makes you look nervous like you’ve already lost the argument.

When you go to take off with the flight with this race it’s got that little pause that you have to wait for. Kind of the same as calling up a mount but a little shorter obviously.
That is enough of a penalty for a race that is supposed to be winged and have flight LOL it shouldn’t have a 10 second cooldown before it can take off again. You can’t use it at all for mining nodes if you’re trying to go very fast it’s better literally to just go ahead and use it damned mount because of that 10 second idiotic cool down

Your argument was “because magic” which is not an objective fact at all. I didn’t ask when druids got instant flight form. It had nothing to do with my statement. Dragons have to flap their wings- well so do birds. It’s no different… except that dracthyrs are already in flight form while druids have to shapeshift into flight form. Yet “because magic” fully explains it for you. It doesn’t for me.
Instant travel form is a perk of the Druid class. What more reason do you need than that.
i’m not the one being argumentative for the sake of being argumentative. i’m simply explaining how druidism works. I’ve been playing one since TBC. I know the lore and I understand the mechanics. You knew what you were getting into when you created your Dragon. Now you’re ticked because Halloween gave you a taste of instant flight form with the broom and you wanna know why your dragon doesn’t have it. Well, your dragon wasn’t designed to have it. That’s why the launch and soar options were added. it’s a part of who they are and how they get around. Blizzard has said for two decades that nothing else is going to get instant flight form. They said it was one of the perks of being a druid and it was one of the gimmicks for having the broom. so I’m sorry you got upset and read me the wrong way but that’s just how it works. They’ve been through hundreds of threads telling thousands of people no.
Druid = Instant Cast, uses 1 Vigor
Dracthyr = Cast time, No Vigor use
That’s the trade-off.

If you walk off of a ledge, you use no vigor. You only use vigor when you hit the “Ascend” ability. That’s on you. It’s the same when someone uses any mount in the game. If they use the Ascend ability, they use 1 vigor. However, if you walk off of a ledge, you’re in flight mode without using any vigor. I do this all the time. It’s very easy. Just walk off of a ledge.
