It seems that instant cast spells are resetting the swing timer to its full duration. Is this blizzlike?
To my knowledge that was the case from Vanilla to for…heck I don’t even know how long.
Hm. Interesting. Admittedly I started halfway through TBC so I wouldn’t really know.
no that’s not blizzlike. A sinister strike shouldn’t reset your swing timer. The only skill I really remember working that way was slam.
I mean spells, not melee abilities.
I’m on a Druid, and casting Moonfire or Rejuv resets my swing timer to full duration.
If I remember right it depends on the type strike it is. I know as a warrior Heroic Strike and stuff like that is timed off your next swing. I always remembered though trying to cast instant SPELLS, (ie MF, or rejuv, or judgement for Pallies and the like) did reset your swing timer. Part of dps’ing for some of those classes that did melee damage but had to cast spells as part of it was to always time the spell to be right after a swing.
Oh for stuff like earth shock or moonfire yea that sounds right. My melee bias is showing.
