I am loving healing on my Evoker! One of big issues I’ve been having, though, is that Essence Burst is sort central to the core play of the spec, but I have so many instant casts or quick casts that I rarely use Living Flame to proc it, since its cast time is longer than everything else, and its heal is relatively small. Devastation has a talent that makes Living Flame occasionally instant; maybe we could see something like that on Preservation? Or maybe give EB two spells it can proc from, like Devastation also has?

a similar effect is part of the 4 piece for the tier set for preservation.
“Reversion healing has a chance to cause your next Living Flame to cast instant and deal 20% increased healing or damage. Stacks up to 2 times.”
It also tends to patch a hole we have in our kit where we are fairly poor single target spot/tank healers, which a lot of folks are going to find out the hard way in the first month of doing m+ before we get tier.
Probably should have just been included in the baseline spec, it’s going to feel terrible when we lose it next tier.

Hopefully they’ll see how important it is and make it baseline later. 
I usually get most of my Essence Burst procs from DPSing. Usually throw up my hots and such then just spam it to get procs that I then save for when it is needed or as I cap I use 1 to start stacking echoes on people for when damage does go out
