I guess you don’t know how arena works, good hunters don’t let druids pop convoke at all, they have teamates as well who help them setup their kills all the while making sure a druid can’t convoke because it is a 4 second channel. Also hunters complaining about convoke is a l2p issue, the more pets you have the less effect convoke is. ALSO you can get up close to the druid and it will use thrash which is a wasted spell during convoke and does 0 dmg. I guess if you can’t interrupt/silence/stun a convoke you will forever be stuck in 1k brackets. HAVE FUN HUNTARD.
The Pelagos mastery nerf will tune down Kyrian boomkins’ burst.
Convoke remains untouched, obviously.
Says the guy who is literally has a 48% win rate and 1000 rated…
You clearly have no idea what you’re doing or talking about
I’m messing around in 2v2 and 3v3 this season with friends in crap comps like triple dps what’s your excuse?
I don’t have one, I’m not a scrub
Watch for eclipse proc, offensive cooldowns and astral power on the boomkin. Realistically there is a very small window of time this is even remotely possible, and outside of 3 minute cooldowns requires a good bit of setup.
You’ve never broken 2200 rating, even with rating inflation. You’ve never been 2k rated in 3v3.
Thanks for the tips though, value your insight down there.
I’ve been gladiator before, just not on this account. according to your character and account you have never played anything but classic. shut up retard.

When you impersonate a GM to mess with friends you get perma banned =(
For what it’s worth, not that people will care in these threads, but a 4s channel is honestly the easiest it’s going to get to stop. It does do HUGE damage (rng to an extent). That’s for sure. But here’s some idiosyncrasies of it:
Being in melee does cast melee abilities like thrash. It’s annoying.
It’ll prioritize healing at first if we’re low. Usually this eats about 1.5s of the channel.
It will absolutely not discriminate in its targets. Meaning it will hit totems, pets, cloned targets, people 100% behind you, etc. Just today I had a game where a hunter was at half ish and I cloned his healer. I went for an easy convoke and it literally dumped 80% of the spells into clone. Hunter lived lol.
It’s paired with Incarn to get double mastery stack. 3min cd. You never used to face tank Incarn. Don’t do it now.
It has shorter range than boomys other abilities by 5 yds.
It can be los’d mid channel.
I mean again, anything in the game aside from movement stops it. Go into the match with an interrupt in your back pocket and play around it ahead of time. Wait until you see ferals use theirs. It can be made to hit only one person most of the time.
Also worth noting that boomys with cheese stats are hitting the gigantic starsurges. I have 20% vers at around 190 ilvl but also use haste and not mastery. My average crits are 9.5k. Still strong, I’m not complaining, but I’d be willing to bet most people complaining aren’t that good, no offense. If you sit out in the open and just face tank it you’re gonna die.
Many people also pair it with the leggo for a lot of crits. That’s getting nerfed tomorrow.
10% crit nerf, instead of 50% it’ll be 40%.
Yea. It also diminishes every second. By the time the channel is gone we’ll have like 8%.
Again, not saying we’re weak. Just know abilities like this get complained about because people simply don’t play against it very well.
I’ve taken 27k in less than a second of convoke, is the argument that you should never let a druid get off more than half a second of the convoke channel in an entire match? It’s not like you need to get off the entire 4 seconds for this to be ridiculous.
Maybe the damage should be backloaded (and in turn less random with hitting pets and stuff) - like making the crit chance build up instead of fade. I dunno, the current situation just seems a little off to me. I don’t really like delving into balance (hehehe) stuff but dying from full hp in less than a second to one player can’t be right.
convoke is a gimmick. real chickens are kyrian
i got hit with a 15k crit right out of stealth the other day, was funny.
i’m curious as to what is an acceptable amount of damage to people because honestly 10k (with cooldowns mind you) doesn’t seem that high to me considering people have defensive cooldowns and healers. Outside of cooldowns starsurge tickles people. So in that 10 second kill window you get to kill something what is an acceptable amount of damage?
For the record, due to Starsurge’s double dipping in Eclipses (and thus, Mastery), the Pelagos nerf will most affect boomkins, noticeably tuning down Kyrian boomkins’ burst.
Decreasing by 8 percent every second. Unless you get all the dmg in the first second you likely won’t see many crits after that.
